I have a 1988 GT Mustang and i'm going to go to Portland International Raceway within the next two weeks or so.

I have 255/40/17's with pretty good tread.
Cobra R Replica wheels.
5 speed.
About 96,000 miles.
Stock 3.06 gears.
BBK CAI
Mass air conversion
TrickFlow Intake
Flowmaster Catback system


I just learned stick about two months ago when I bought the car but I feel pretty good about my driving skills. I've practiced powershifting and I've practiced my launch and I feel somewhat comfortable with them both.

Basically what I'm asking for is some tips at the track so I don't lose to a civic and what my ET's should be giving these circumstances. I don't want to hope for too low of a time and then be disappointed.

definately need a supercharger or sumn if your gunna race some fastr cars< theres honda accords that will b pushing out like a Good 700 HP!!!!! they dont mess around hahah but listen for engine sounds is your best bett.. i took my 00 to the strips and some crx smashed the me becasue he had a vtek piece of crap and ran nas!!!!!!

Your on street tires so dumping the clutch off the line will get you know where. Also even though it may look cool, heating the tires will not be necessary.
