have you ever raced a car with 4.10's and a 26" tire and peak power at 5k rpms down the track?
couldve been track prep,i dont know..
but it doesnt matter if my 60ft time got better or not cuz the car ran out of gear before the finish line!!!!!!
let me re-phrase that..it didnt actually run out of gear,since i was able to cross the line..the gear choice didnt match the engine's optimal operating range/powerband
so any gain that may have been made in the first 60ft was negated by the car nosing over before the traps..get it?
hell, i could go with 4.56 gears and really help my 60 ft time then...and i'd have to use overdrive to cross the stripe before the engine hit the rev limiter...it was out of the powerband LONG before the stripe..few hundred feet..
