Default Can I raise my shift point and rpm??

Currently when I'm at the track, I have a 7k limiter chip in the car and shifting @ 6700.

My cam powerband is from 4-7250rpm / redline @ 7750
Intake good until 8000 before falling flat
Have 4340 crank, H beam 4340 rods 7/16 bolts. Everything chaved/ chaffered, and balanced. Nothing skipped in that dept.

Wondering would I be safe to raise the limiter to 7400 and shift at 7k?

if your valve train is up to it give it a try. it may not make any difference in e.t.

Valve train was built around the cam so it should also be okay. But your saying I may not gain anything? What maybe a fast mph but same et?

If you know your making power up to 7K and you built the valve train around it, then I would. Have you had your car on a dyno to see where it's making it's power?

Car has not been on a dyno before. I know it still pulls to 7k because this last outing one time I was late shifting and hit the limiter.

ok without the car being dyno'd that is a hard call....

but based on the fact you have all the parts that can handle the additional rpm's

the only thing that will beat a failure is a try....

but i personally don't think that where your problem is....

whenever you get a chance give me a call.....
