Default Went to the track Friday night!

There was only about ten cars but I had fun. Ran and 8.65 1\8 mile and 1.87 60'. I was quite happy. To bad it was in the Buick!! Now I have to figure out what to do to come close in my stang. Guess I'm gonna have to spend more money.

What you can away from that is experience .....

Seat time is everything......

At least you got to go racing........

I would not mind having a GN to play with.....

Those can be a nasty ride when setup right......

Yeah, had allot of fun. I knew the GN was quick but suprised how well it hooked. I guess the burnouts i was doing helped. I don't usually do big burnouts in the stang, tires cost allot and I drive it everyday. And the GN is all stock except and air filter and 3" exhaust.

At my local track in a swamp in Jersey Friday is Street-Legal night. Easily 100 cars; racing starts at six and ends at ten we are only guarantied three runs.

Its been slow the last couple times for some reason. The last time I took my stang there was 8 cars. I think I make about 15 passes that night in less than 2 hours.

Would that be Island Dragway? I was there for a Friday nite F-body vs Mustang race this year. I got to make 10 passes.

Friday night Oct 30, was dead it looked like rain but did not. I made 7 runs could have made more. It was very relaxed and I got some great tips form hanging out and asking questions.

I had my best time and finally did 100mph, I have a totally bone stock GT as I wanted to get my first free oil change at the dealer before doing anything.

The guy that gave me the best tips said a totally bone stock GT could run in the 13 easily; of course the driver has to be perfect too.

He had a 2009 GT with only 800 miles on it he bought in May for 19K. It was not bone stock but naturally aspirated with only bolt on's and he ran a 13.00. He wanted to get get into the 12's so badly but couldn't get it.

I used to go to this place in the 60s' it hasn't changed. I am only 20 minutes away; people were there form two hours away. I was told Englishtown track is sticker and will take .2 off one's ET.
