Default What should i do next?

hi guys since i just finished my season im trying to figure out what i should do to my car in the off season. i purchased a 5000 stall awhile back for my 347 but tci made it a bit to loose so i was forced to put my 3500 back in. so my question is if i get a bigger cam an intake would i be able to run that 5000 stall better since id have more power?

so my big debate is do i go with the tubular front end kit this winter? or try to squeeze out some more power an try my old stall. if i do plan on going with the front end i was going to send my converter back an have them tighten it to around a 4000. but then of course comes the money issue. i have plenty of time to think about it. so i decided to see what you guys would think.

I would go with the front end upgrade....

Send the convertor back and get wht you paid for.......

FWIW granted i'm still running a T5 i have never been impressed by TCI

Check out Dynamic........

I have many friends that have had great sucess the TCT convertors......

I would make some long term goals for the car. Street strip, strip only, returning to stock, or even thinking now of resale value. This will then allow you to make short term decisions. I never envisioned long terms goals when I built my firebird. I wasted $$$$ upgrading parts only to upgrade again and again. Ideally you can have multi long term goals that can be satisfied with a short term upgrade. What I'm trying to say is that I wasted money buying headers, cats, and exhaust which in two years later wasn't needed in a "race" car.

As stated by Reggie, I would do the front end and send the converter back for restalling. Personally I wouldn't be too quick to tear into a new motor.

i agree with the rest of them..remember losing weight is the same as adding HP..a nice tubulark,a arms and some coilovers will drop a hefty chunk off the front end

do you have rear suspension upgrades too?

this is a strip car only. which is way ive already takin out the 4.6 an what not. I do have rear suspension upgrades already. but as for long term goals i do plan on keepin this a race car. i have no intentions on making it a street car again

Did you ever have the car dynoed? It will tell you exactly where the convertor needs to be adjusted. My '02 is a little loose down low to mid. It will come out this Winter to get re-tightened. It showed up clear as day on the dyno.....
