I would make some long term goals for the car. Street strip, strip only, returning to stock, or even thinking now of resale value. This will then allow you to make short term decisions. I never envisioned long terms goals when I built my firebird. I wasted $$$$ upgrading parts only to upgrade again and again. Ideally you can have multi long term goals that can be satisfied with a short term upgrade. What I'm trying to say is that I wasted money buying headers, cats, and exhaust which in two years later wasn't needed in a "race" car. As stated by Reggie, I would do the front end and send the converter back for restalling. Personally I wouldn't be too quick to tear into a new motor.
