At least for next year, Memphis Motorsports Park will be shutdown due to financing issues. It really sucks for folks around here because it's the closest quarter mile track in this neck of the woods.
We were never into the drag racing but this has affected my dad and I down here in south Mississippi too. We used to race the road course with the SCCA 2-3 times a year. The Memorial Day race there was one of my favorite races to go to. I'm extremely sad to hear this...

I feel for you, our track may be shutting down also. They are tring to buy the land since the lease is up this year. We may get a new track in a couple of yrs,it will be an 1/8 mile which I do not like. I may have to move.
