My dad's friend reringed and bearinged a wrecking yard truck 460. Using cheap TRW pistons, cleaning up the heads a little, Weiand Stealth intake, Holley swap meet carb and a Clay Smith 310 cam he had his Camaro running low 11.00's, best being 11.06. And yeah I said Camaro it was great cheavy guys thought it was so cool until they saw a distributor up front. We did the same combo in a 56 F-100 and that was wicked. The customer we did it for took it to the strip and needless to say it would just blow the tires off of it so I don't have any e.t.'s worth bragging about. Good budget combo though.

C-4 trans 5000 stall and a brake. i run 9.09et 149mph in the 1/4.

I had a 460 stock bottom end with dished pistons in it. I put a set of ported and polished d0ve-c heads that have 2.25 intake 1.75 ex. with a ford racing cam 244/254@.050 .588/.614 lift in a 72 f100 c-6 3500 stall and 4.10 gears with 295/65/15 m/t et street radials and went 12.88@103 in 1/4 on 93 octane!
