I also would like to know the 1/8 to 1/4 mile conversion formula, Anybody??
My best 1/8 mile was 8.1 only one others 8.6 to 8.7

Where do you run? I race at Napierville ...went almost every Fri. for awhile this summer....some Saturday's too. Never see many SN95's up there...especially fast ones. Have any pics of the car? I was also up there on Mustang night..the one that was on a Weds.
Hey blkgtstang, I did most of my racing at Napierville. I have moved to Manitoba since 2000, so its been a while since I've been there. I raced the black 93 coupe and was usually there every Friday night, either watching or racing. I've always wondered what the elevation was at that track ? I only lived about 20 min from that track and it was so convenient for me.

This was three years ago, on hoosier dr's on stock 5 star rims in 80 degrees.Since then I've added Drag lites w/ skinnies in front, electric fan and have pulled the front sway bar. Next run will be on slicks and a 125 shot. 11's should be in reach I think.

f I can honestly say that my 1987 Mustang LX coupe 5.0/5-speed with nothing but a K&N filter, and the mufflers removed (replaced with straight pipe) - but kept the 4 factory cats. *the exhaust still exits out the back and looks stock.
the car has 70K original miles. 13.8 with street tires (16" wheels)
13.1 with slicks (15" wheels)
I have found that the coupes i have driven haul ass compared to the GT's, hatchbacks and so on (all of the coupes are 5.0 5-spds that i've driven)

I stopped and checked out the pic. Excellent!!! Lots of common parts between us. I too run the Victor Jr. heads, Super Victor intake, Canton Pan, JE slugs. 12.4 C/R. Same gearing and tire. I find the fuel delivery of interest...I run a BG400, 12AN to 10AN with the BG 825CFM carb. At peak HP on the engine dyno it pulled 800 CFM, so the size was right.
How much do you think yours weighs? I just finished pulling out my heater, winshield wipers and motor, misc. hardware and brackets and all of the old wiring harnesses. So far it lost 68 pounds.
Best on motor was a 10.68 at 129. The motor was built with an N2O cam (bigger LSA, longer exh. duration), and on a 150 shot it now runs 9.70's at 137. By pulling out some more weight I hope to improve on that next year.
Ron
my car weight is 3210 with me in it race ready. Im in 4th gear about
30 ft before the 1/8 mile mph cones and i run strong the last 1/8.
With 3.27 1st gear and 6800rpm shift points it makes for quick shifting
with a clutch. I think I am loosing some et with this set up and I was
thinking of a pa performance or dynamic fully rollerized c4 with 8inch
convertor set up. I run 133 mph and should be around 10.00 or 10.10
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
I saw the pictures of your car and it looks great. I would like to know
more about your set up trans, suspen, weight, launch rpm, shift rpm,
and anything else you are willing to share.
