Default Best Drag radials???

Need advice on the best drag radials, I have BF Good Rich g-force KDWS right 255-40-ZR17 now, good street tire, but crapy for the track. These tires came with the car and I don't liket the 255 at all, hit my sway bar. I was even thinking some M/T but don't really want to go crazy with money. Any advice or personal experince is appreciated. Thanks!!

I have seen guys run 8 second 1/4 s with bfg drag radials . If you need more traction than that you'll need a slick

Thanks for the advice. I have heard a lot of good things about the BFG radials. I think MM&FF did a comparison on them VS. the M/T and pretty mutch tied.

I was gonna say M/T are the best that i have seen, I have not seen BFGs used on anyone's car i knew, so i wouldn't know.

The BFG DR is a great tire, wears fast. The Nitto DR, is also good, last longer, but needs to really be heated up to get great traction. If you plan on leaving them on the car all year, and see a lot of rain, I would go Nitto, if it's limited street time, and a lot of track go with the BF's. Either one will be a vast improvment over what you have.

i've used both the BFG's and the M/T ET Streets. they are both good tires. the BFG,'s will last longer if you are going to do any street driving. the M/T's seem to be a softer compound and won't last that long but i do prefer them at the strip. don't use the M/T's without tubes as they will leak down over a period of time.

I run Nittos and really like them for the street, not so much for the track. I would look at the "new" M/T 17" ET Streets.

I've only used M/T's, they were great for launching at the track but only so-so on the street. They are a softer compound though.
