Just needed to vent this to my fellow stangers, this saturday i had a chance to test my car at the 1/8 mile. There were no clocks, all was in fun at a local road racing track (Mex. Club event) without the proper timing equipment. Times were checked using 3 stop watches and averaged.
My times were in the mid 8s, but this was at 8,000 feet elevation, so im quite happy, i beat a 71 Mustang coupe with a Boss 429 !!!
If it were a 1/4 mile he would have killed me bad, but it wasnt, he was soooo pissed
I also raced against a mildly modified Fox GT, carbed, beat him by 2 car lengths.
The most fun was against a Fox GT with a Cleveland 351, he beat me by a few inches, could have been closer or win but i hesitated at launch.
