NHRA colleges

Sorry that this is kinda off-topic, but I gotta be choosin within the next year or so a college to go to so I can do something with my life

And I guess all I'm really good at is cars, and I may not even be good with that. Anyway, I love drag racing and I wouldn't mind learnin on how to build chassis and engines for NHRA and IHRA cars and just stuff like that. I haven't dedicated myself to this idea yet but I wanna get some info from colleges and stuff. The only ones I can think of that even come close is Universal Technical Insitute which does have a NASCAR program which would be semi-benificial to me since they both use tube-frames. There's also Lincoln Tech and schools like that, but those aren't necessarily meant for racing but more for your average daily driver and what not. Thanks ya'll.

I think there is a college called hot rod u . You may want to look for that .

Yeah, that is not actually a college, but a program within a college. I've seen it advertised on TV and what it is is a program you can take at Universal Technical Insitute.

You could always go to Hamburger college and become a manager at McDonald's =)

LOL, I've already worked at McDonalds, and trust me, you definitely don't need to go to college to be a manager there.

My advice is to stay away from UTI if you are only performance oriented. Their main focus is general auto repair, not racing, although they do have a few race themed courses you cant take them without dropping about 20 GRAND!!

Well their Hot Rod U program is all performance oriented with superchargers, turbos, nitrous, etc. etc. I already know lots about engines and work on them quite often, but you can always learn more. Also, it's hard to get a job nowadays without a certification saying that you can do what you say you can do.
