I am trying to reach low 11s. Right now I am running: 12.723@112.22 w/ a 2.020 60'. What other mods should I make to my car (see sig.)? Any suggestions? I am getting adjustable upper and lower control arms installed soon, also getting new rims with M/T drag radials (what size?), and was thinking about getting new gears? What gears go with supercharged cars with this horse? Are cams or heads/cams good idea with supercharger or just increase boost? Any help would be great.
tossing any un needed weight is just as valuable as more HP. Also Gears will drop you e/t dramatically. I would think you could go with either 393 or 410 gearing depending on how much driveability you are willing to sacrifice. Sticky tires are a must. Kuhmo or Nitto make pretty good tires. Also Do you have headers and exhuast? Those two things are always choking the 4.6 by upgrading them youll see a huge HP increase. Hooker headers and possibly spintech exhaust (these are just examples) .......oh and is it a convertible?

Ya, Noob is right about gears. They won't get you all the way to where you want to be but they will help alot. I'd use one of the various calculators available on the net to figure out which gear is best. Use your RPM and trap speed in 4th gear and do the math. You want just enough gear to keep you in 4th but not so much that you have to shift before you go through the traps.
Before I did anymore HP making mods to that car I would find a good tuner. If you are using the tune that came with that ProCharger then you could do alot better by getting a good custom tune. If you have already done that then you are on the right track :thumbup

all i can say is pretty much what has already been said. gears are a MUST for you if you are looking for lower elapsed times. a set of long tubes would help you also. i know this is not gonna make a giant difference but do you have a k&n? any thing that will help the motor breath is going to help you out. have you done any weight reduction? how about a short throw shifter? i have a 98 cobra too. what color is yours and what production number/date?

If it were my stang, and I wish it was, I'd go with 3:73s or maybe a 3:90. Maybe even an aftermarket diff, like an Eaton or Auburn, sythetic lube and an aluminum girdle rear end cover. How about an aluminum drive shaft too. The aluminum drive shaft will save weight and will give you less rotating mass. Long tubes are the best, but you'll have to get a different mid pipe or fabricate it to work. Either way headers make good power especially when you already have some decent numbers. Throw in a custom dyno tune and you should be alot faster. Oh yea Pro 5.0 shifter :thumbup Good luck!
I do have bassani x-pipe & catback, headers will be coming soon. I did have it professionally tuned by Paul's High Performance. I do have K&N air filter. I am getting a rear seat delete this spring, other than that, I am not sure. I have a steeda tri-ax shifter. It is a red mustang (where is the production # & date?). And thanks for the welcom badass. Also, my stock clutch is smoking, any ideas on a good clutch/flywheel combo that will hold about 500 rwhp (i am planing to do a few upgrades next year, all around), something that will last too. Thanks.
boosted ,you needto call SVT and give them your vin #. they will give you your production number and date of manufacture. the number is... 1-800-FORD SVT upon your request, if you fax them a copy of your title they will mail you a certificate that varifies your ownership. it will also tell you the vin# prod. date/number and where it was assembled. if you find a good clutch , send me a private message, im in the market too. but i want to keep the hard clutch pedal, not get a real easy to push pedal, you know what i mean? by the way, any problems with your tranny?

Good clutch, slicks and 4.10's. Then practice.
If the clutch is slipping then you are losing alot of ET.
Shallow stage and try it this can help up to about 2 tenths.
What 60fts are you running?
Show me a timeslip and maybe we can decifer what you need a little better.

You have a decent MPH, idicative of some ponies under the hood. Change the clutch it will only get worse not better. I suspect the car should go 12.30 or so after some practice in the first 60ft especially. Slicks will dramatically change your takeoffs, trust me. My wife has ran a string of 12.60's @106 and 107mph in a 5000lb truck. So you have the power there it will come with the gear slicks and practice. Good luck on the 11's.
