Hello everyone! I'm going to be building a 90 Convertible (fox bodied) car to play with at the track...I'm not very knowledgeable with Ford motors yet (hence why I've joined

) By the way I'm new, my other car is a 68 Dodge Charger big block, I like to experiment with everything though...
Anyway, I'm planning either a big block 427, or a small block stroked to 427 inch...I'm not allowed to build any bigger than that....Also, I'm limited to 93 Octane so I need to keep the compression a bit on the conservative side......
realistically, how much power can I build into either of these motors and still run 93.....remember, I'm not allowed any power adders (turbos, blowers, NOS, not even octane boost!) and pump gas is the limit so I have to be careful with compression and cylinder pressure
I'm sure I'll be running a fairly stout roller cam and some other serious hardware, but I don't know where to look next...who are the serious Ford engine builders I should be looking at? And does 700HP at the flywheel sound unreasonable on 93 pump gas? Figure that's what I'll need to squeek past the 10's into single digits with this weight of car...
hope to hear from you all soon! :thumbup
