Question Maximum ET Street size

Just wondering what the maximum size ET Street I can fit under my car? I have 15X8 Weld Drag Lites with 4.5 inch backspacing, using Eibach Drag Launch, SSM Lift bars, no quad shocks. I and currently using 26X10.5 and I have used 26X11.5 in the past on the same wheel. I have to move up to 28's due to gear ratio/nitrous combo and I am wondering if any of you are running a 28X11.5 or X12.5 with any problems? Thanks.

Tim

I had a set of 28x11 that a friend gave me but they were too big for my stock rims. He told me that they came off a Mustang but it had 10in wide rims and some fender massaging

I had a set of 28 x 9.5 slicks on 8" wheels on my 91 LX fit no problem. I would think a 28 x 11 might fit with the proper off-set 15 x 10 wheels

I currently have a set of MT 28X12.5 ET Streets on my car. Of course I had to do a little massaging to get them to fit. They are mounted on 15X8 wheels. However, I'm looking into getting some 15X10's very soon.

AZ93GT, what was the backspacing used with the 8's to get a 12.5 to fit? I have the 4.5 inch backspacing and a 26X10.5 touches the fender lip occasionally.

Skinney,

The BS on the wheels are 5 1/2. I also have c-clip eliminators and if I remember right that helps a little too.

Thanks AZ, I just made a deal to trade for a set of 8's with 5.5 backspacing.
