01' Steeda Baseline run

I posted this in the 4.6 forum and didnt get many bites. I took my car to the track for the first time Friday night. I wasn't real happy with what i got, but i was optimistic. i attached a time slip, but it isn't the best one ( I cant seem to locate the 14.02 run). I was having alot of trouble hooking up, for one due to not having drag radials and I haven't gotten the 3.73's installed yet. That will be next weekend. My question is how much of an improvement should i see in 2 weeks when i go back with drag radials and the gears. My 60' time is horrible, but my trap speed seems to be ok. Do you think if i can get her to hook i can see some mid to low 13's? Oh the track is here in Baton Rouge so if it is 30 foot above sea levels that would be amazing lol.

What trap speed were you running with a 14.02? The 3:73 are not going to help you with the tire spin problem. The drag radials will help, but there not going to be like slicks and hook up no matter how hard you launch. You still can't leave the line not as hard as you want, but once it gets rolling there should be no problems hooking up.

99 sumthin on the 14 run. I just found out my car was running on 2 bad coil packs when i made those runs... so i should see some better performance next time out.
