Hey guys. It's my second time running at Atco's street night, but I know I can do better. Even more so, on the literal street, my car rips it up! My car does a best of 14.527. (I have a Gtech meter, and did a 14.2, with horrible driving, before on normal road. how accurate; now i question.) My launches kinda suck; yes, rephrase, putrid. I had .41 r/t's so here's what I've done. (the engine/car mods are in my sig) at the track I'm running streets. Yes; bad idea. BUT! I want to do as much as i can on these, and i've beaten cars that "say" they have run 13s on street tires. SO! I lowered my rears down to 20 psi. Powerbraked 'em pretty good, I'm running BFG G-Force KDWs. They are pretty solid I must say, but when running my cars shimmies a hair down the groove, probably some traction problems once again. I haven't payed the most attention, but i'm trying to launch at 2 grand. I can get first to hook pretty good, spin till about 3500 then grab, shift at 6g and then chirp second kinda hard, shift just under 6, and then third, shift at 6, fourth, ride it out. I'm getting 99.01 trap on one time and 99.7 at another... does anyone think with my current setup a 13 is possible from better driving and handling? Let me know anything i can do because my baby has GOT it! I went back on the street and started getting mad cause it pulled like no OTHER! Advice would be greatly appreciated... and yes; I have now come over to the light side of no street racing. Because at ATCO $3.00 to race is cheaper than ANY court date and ticket you could ever get... thank you ATCO!! and thank you readers for any help... safe racing!
