NHRA dropped by Ford

Heard on the NHRA broadcast that Ford is pulling sponsorship for the pro teams - Force, Tasca and Wilkerson after next year. That sucks canal water. I might replace my F150 with a Ram or GMC because of it.
Can you imagine Force in a Toyota body funny car?

What! Why? That's just plain stupid. They just released a new cobra jet aimed at drag racing, why not support the sport and why piss off fans? Pure stupidity, and just to save a few bucks.

When it comes to cars Ford prefers to sponsor the Focus, much cheaper & they must feel it has enough sales to help offset the costs.

There's talk that you might see more of Fords presence in NASCAR with the 5 times viewer ratings it carries over NHRA. I don't think they're doin it to save money. It sounds like a move a company makes to make money.

Ford sponsorship in NHRA

Ford is dropping sponsorship of PRO categories and is putting more into the sportsman ranks, hence the new Mustang Cobras. They are getting back to supporting the grass roots of racing. Heard this talking with guys at the New England nationals then it was in NHRA Nitro-news. I am wondering same about Force racing and the other Ford teams, will they bail?
