2011+ GT Quarter Mile Times

Hey everyone, I have a question about my 2012 GT quarter mile times. I recently took my car to Kilkare raceway in Xenia Ohio to see what it would run. I was able to make 4 passes with the following numbers.

1. 12.7359 @ 111.55
2. 12.8170 @ 111.14
--Cooldown for 2 Hours--
3. 12.5903 @ 112.39
4. 12.6229 @ 112.22

How is it that my car can run those kind of numbers with stock tires which are the 235 Pirelli's and the stock rear end gear 3.15's? Did I somehow get a "Factory Freak" as they call them?

My current mods are: K&N drop in filter, exhaust resonators deleted, GT500 axle-backs, and a 93 Octane Race Tune. Please let me know if I should post my time slips!

Seems about right for one of these running a tune. What were your 60' times like? I'm working on getting mine down but I need the tires for it

Times are normal (but respectable!) for your car. And Kilkare's new surface helps.

Do it! Kilkare is a lot of fun! Don't worry about the target on your head. Just go out there and have some fun. No need to set any world records your first time out.

My 60' was right around 2.0, my best of the night was a 1.9xx but I know I am spinning those pirelli's at least a little bit. It is really hard to tell with these newer mustangs when the windows are up and you take the track volume into account. They are insulated very well, i can't hear my axle-backs that good until I go by buildings in town with the windows down. I even have the resonators deleted so it rumbles pretty good. Point being you are most likely spinning more than you think

Could you be more specific with your numbers like when I posted mine? Thanks!

Without track conditions and da calculations cant really say how times stack up to similar cars. In negative da weather and good track prep went 12.26 bone stock @ 115.31 but in warmer weather times naturally are slower. Car is base 13 gt a6.

im running same tmes as op in mine. 12.59 best so far, consistent 60's. but my mph is only 110.0 tho. I havve a 6 speed, 3.31 gear, borla axle back, cai and bama tune
maybe my shorter wheels are causing mph idk, 18s 275/40. still im pretty satisfied for 100 degree temps in Ga.

Those are very good times, great driving!

I actually went to Cecil County Drag way in Maryland on Wednesday with my 2011 GT. It was 90* and with the humidity the DA was at 2,800 feet above sea level while I was running!(Cecil is usually at 325 ft above sea level with 0% humidity) That being said, I was still able to pull some pretty good times.

1. 12.01 @ 119.7 - 2.0 60ft
2. 11.97 @ 119.4 - 1.97 60 ft
3. 11.91 @ 119.2 - 1.84 60 ft
4. 11.87 @ 118.7 - 1.79 60 ft

I have basic bolt ons on my car! Full exhaust, Intake and a tune. I also have 3.73's from the factory. I was running on Race Stars with Slicks and Skinnies (275/50) out back. My car definitely has a lot left in her, I should be able to cut a 1.5-1.6 60 ft!

Keep up the great work with your build!

Last night at Atco Raceway I saw a 2013 GT auto run a 12.044 @ 115 with a CAI, tune and splice in X-pipe on Nitto 555Rs. So they run like a raped ape. He ran the same times as my 05 10PSI blown 3V with headers.

2005 Ford Mustang GT Torch Red Manual
Saleen Super Shaker 3.4 pulley/Brenspeed Tune
Kooks Longtubes Catted H/FRPP Stingers
Full BMR And Steeda Suspension
FRPP Throttlebody
Dynotech Driveshaft
SOLD!! I have no Mustang at this time!
