My shift light is set at 5300 to 5400. So by the time I react to it, I'm at about 5500 to 5600.
60' is usually 1.9 on a good run. I spun a little on this run. So I think I can even get it down to 14.2 or 14 flat in better horse power weather. I ran the 14.3 when it was really hot and humid.
Bumped timing to 15 advanced, fuel pressure reg. set at 39psi, and a new MAF sensor really did the trick. The old sensor was really messing things up! Maybe I'll run even faster. This past weekend I took out the fog lights and the whole 19 lb. metal assembly that holds the fog lights and goes along the bottom of the bumper.Less weight and maybe some better air flow with all that gone.
Thanks for all the help.
Yeah, its looks like youre hooking up pretty good though, although I didn notice the 60 was lower on that run, but your ET is pretty good for the speed.
This might sound dumb.......are you staying in 3rd gear? .With the mods you have listed the e.t. just doesnt add up. Your 60' is decent with the Drag Radials.......when I used the BFG'S I put them down to the 10-12 psi range and did at least a 3 second burnout. I found the more the tires were heated .....the better it was . I went to M/T slicks this year and the car hooked up better and more consistently. My car has virtually no mods with gears and slicks listed in my sig. pulled off a best of 14.06. Most my runs were 14.10-14.20 range no problem. You mph seems too low as well.. Get that car a set of slicks. How often can you drag race it to practice? IMO the car should on paper or theoretically be quicker than a 14.20. I would think with the mods you have it has way more potential .Just my 2 cents.

My engine is basically stock. No chip or tune. Stock Heads. I think your running almost 14 flat is the slicks, traction bars, frame connectors, seats removed , sway bar. 40000 miles apposed to 124000 miles. Real slicks make a big difference. That's what I'll be running when my Nitto's wear out or sooner. Aren't lx's basically lighty than gt's. Better horse power making air up in Canada? Plus, some engines are just better than others. All that crap on mine doesn't do much unless you have it tuned. The intake and throttle body are the only benefit as far as the engine is concerned. My rear is just stronger to last for racing it all the time Everything else is hype. If you upgrade yours, go with heads, that's your best bet. As for mine, I think I'm heading toward a Ford Racing 345 HP Crate Motor. I just found out that mine had been in a crash before I bought it. The engine has a vibration 4k-5k rpms. I think it's not worth having it worked on.
Oh yeah, I'm shifting into 4th right about at the 1000' . Lower e.t 's give you lower trap speeds. I've run faster mph's and had slower et's. Wierd isn't it.
You should be in the high 13`s , stock 5.0 GTs run 14`s , so with your mods something is really wrong !... no... no they dont the COBRA ran like a 14.8 stock

Like I said, there was a stock Mustang GT running mid 14's at the track this past summer with street tires. How does your car run? If it runs rough, check your MAF sensor. When I did a timing advance to 14, fuel pressure reg. at 40psi with vacuum off,new MAF sensor (mine was shot), and shifted at 5500 rpms (the guy with the stock Mustang was shifting right before red line), with all that, I broke 15 sec. I ran a 14.5 first time!. There's a stock GT Mustang in the high school division running 14.8 consistantly. What are you shifting at? What's your timing set at?
