Default Carb./ Power Valve Help

I have a 750 HP holley and its drinking gas bad, It acks like the floats are stuck but there not theres no gas dripping down the carb,And it wont idle right unless i rev it up to 3000 RPMS, Could it be a bad power vavle? PLEASE ANY ADVICE, THANK YOU, CAR9FAN

A bad power valve will dump fuel into the engine and give you similar symptoms as a sticking float. On older Holley carbs. there wasn't a check valve in the carb. to protect the power valve if the engine back fired up through it. I don't know how old your carb. is but they sell kits that can be installed easily if you don't have the power valve protector check valve. The bad PV will give you a dead rich mixture.
