Thumbs up Need Help Building 351w-street/strip

what's going on,may be someone on this forum can help me.OK,i would like to build a 30 over 351w street/strip engine,i read a article about jon kasse cylinder heads victor jr. intake, soild roller cam-com cam 256 degree-and 750 carb.on a stock 89 mustang 302 and they got 511hp@7800rpm.but the heads are 1700 for a pair and you have to buy his push rods and vavle cover because the vavles are canted. so if anyone has a little cheaper combo that would give me that cain of hp.or near to it with a 30 over windsor please let me know.thank you -morris-

I Thought I Was The Only One With This Problem!! Im Building A 351w (393) Stroker Motor And Wanted More Horses Than My Last 302 So It Really Depends On How Much Money You Want To Spend. 1700 For A Set Of Heads Isnt Cheap, Now I Know 75% Of Your Power Comes From Your Heads So You Dont Want To Go Cheap, But My Personal Opinion I Think You Would Do Just As Well With A Pair Of Tfs Heads (514 Series). Now You Would Have To Go With Diffrent Style Pistons If You Wanted Forged Or Higher Compression, Also There Are Some Tricks On Getting A Stroker Motor For Good Price As Well,!!

WELL, YOU CAN GET A STROKER CRANK FOR $202.00 DELIVERED RIGHT TO YOUR DOOR, AND IT HAS A STROKE OF 3.850" TO TURN A 351w INTO 393 STROKER, YOU CAN USE YOUR STOCK ROD LENGTH OF 5.956" AND ALL YOU NEED IS A SET OF PISTONS FOR A 302, THE COMPRESSION HEIGHT DISTANCE ALLOWS YOU TO DO THIS, I MEAN IF YOUR GOING TO SPEND GOOD MONEY FOR THE HEADS WHY NOT HAVE THE CUBIC INCH TO GO WITH IT, TRUST ME YOU CANT GO WRONG WITH A STROKER MOTOR, AND AS FAR AS HEADS YOU CAN USE ANY HIGH PERFORMANCE HEAD THAT WILL FLOW NICE!!!

Im Sprayed Big Shot Through My 302 And Everything Held Up As In The Motor Itself, Point Is My Stock Crank Shaft Held Up. So You Can Use A Nodular Iron Crank Shaft That Will Support More Power Than Your Block Can Hold. Thats $202 For That. Then Look Up Summitracing.com At Scats Forged I Beam Connecting Rods, There Made Of 4340 Forged Steel And Are Good To Around 600+ H.p. They Cost $239.00 And Like $10.00 For Shipping. Now Do You Have Any Pistons Yet Or Still Need Them?

Ok, I Lucked Out Because I Already Hade Pistons In My 302 That Were Forged (wiesco) Made For My Tfs Heads And I Spent $550 For Them And Got Plasma Coated Moly Rings Witch Were $100. But If Your Spraying Less Then 125 Shot Of Nos Through Your Motor You Can Use The Keith Black Hyperusytetic Pistons Witch Handle Nos, And Those Are About $230 Or So, And Just Buy The Rings There $100 And I've Seen Them On Ebay Brand New For $85-$90.

Sorry About Yesterday, I Was Getting Tired. Well Anyways, Like I Said I Have A Big Shot Nos Hooked Up To My 85, Since I Owned It For 4 Years I Only Sprayed It One Time, The Guy Who Owned It Before Sprayed Very Little Also, Theres A Pill I Can Take Out Of The Nitrous Solinoid And Put A Bigger One In And Go From 125 To 250h.p. That Is A Good Way To Create Instant Horsepower And Effieciant Too. I Pulled The Built C-4 Out And Replacing It With A Toploader From The Late 60's Its A 4-sp That Can Handle Serious Horespower. You Running A Stick Or Auto? And You Never Mentioned What Year Stang You Have? I Know Some Suspention Tricks As Well!!

393fox, how much power are you expecting to make with your engine??

I am planning on doing a supercharged 408 and am starting to plan things out. It looks like it is going to cost a pretty penny (around 10k!) and if I decide the price is too high I am just going to throw a 150 shot on the current set up.
