Default 351(408) into a 1995 Mustang gt.please help.

i am eventually going to put a 351 stroked to a 408 into a 95 gt.i would like to know if i will run into any clearance issues while doing this?like headers for instance.I mean i have heard that they have clearance issues.is it just a get the hammer out kinda thing or is it a get the welder out and basicly make your own headers thing?and my other question is will it bolt up to the factory motor mounts without any mods?any thing else i should be concerned about?

You will need 351 (Cobra R) headers, 5.0 headers wont do it. You will also need shorter engine mounts or a taller hood, depending on the intake you use, most wont clear the hood.

mac, hooker i heard has swap headers for your car. they are 1 3/4 primarys and 3inch collectors i believe. stock mounts will work but like stated would need a hood. what size is your cobra r hood? cause you will be 2-3"s higher than a 302. i got a 90 notch with solid morroso motor mounts from a 302 and those mac swap headers i have no probs.
