Default trimming springs to level car

my 85 gt race leans to the driver side. some of my racing buddies said i can just trim about 3/8 to 1/2 an inch at a time to level it out. is that the top or the bottom of the spring. im guessing you dont cut it out of the middle.

Nope u need to fix your torque boxes. You need to get a torque box kit to weld in and fix the problem. If it is leaning you have a broken or bending torque box. Never cut your springs you are looking at a cemetery doing stuff like that.

Not to mention it'll change the rate the spring acts with. Find the real reason why it's leaning and fix that. Having mismatched spring heights is begging for trouble.

Default cut springs

the real reason the car is leaning is the springs are already cut. i have only had the car 2 weeks and still getting the car like i like it . the torque boxes are already welded. i guess the last guy cut the springs because the springs were the same. so i have some drag springs coming. if you read the ads for springs drag springs are not the same rate the right side is stiffer so when you launch the load is spread out more evenly between thetires
