Default How to Drag Race w/ Nitrous??

I have some questions on how to drag race w/ a 50 shot of dry nitrous. Now i know from the specs of my kit my bottle pressure should be from 900-1300psi inside the bottle. As for the rpm's i should hit the switch at or above 3,000 RPM's. But still confused??

Okay so lets say i am at the lights about to launch -Can any please describe exactly how or what to do from there. My car is an Auto by the way. Should i put it down into first gear then once i hit around 3,000 RPM's arm the nitrous then shift to second?? When should i deactivate the nitrous, right when i pass the 1/4 mile mark or what??

Someone please help i'm confused

I dunno, try hitting the N2O when the tires aren't spinning anymore.
After all, it's just a chemical blower... kind of...

Get a window switch, it will activate the nitrous for you at the rpm you specify. That, coupled with a WOT switch, should give you plenty of control.

I am assuming that the controller is hooked up to your tps, so it only turns on when you running wide open. In that case arm it at the line. Your really not going to see a big performance improvement with such a small shot. If you can't hook in first gear w/the nitrous on, then arm it after you have shifted to second. I don't remember what you were running for tires. Anyway, good luck, and have fun!!!!!!!

i have a window switch, that i can program to come on at any rpm i choose, and go off at any rpm. be safe, make sure you have a wot switch installed (nitrous will only spray when youe throttle is wide open). my set up also allows me to lock out any gear i choose. i spray right off the line after i get traction. if i launch at 3500, i set the spray to 3600. hope this helps.

I no a little something about your problem. as said from the others you need a wide open throttle swich so its only on when the accel is on the floor.as far as activation goes a button or window switch works great. some thing close to you so dont have to loose focous. make some test runs turn it on off the line in man 1st or 2nd. were every it isnt spinning. good luck!
