Default e.t. gains from an h-pipe?

i was wondering if anyone had installed an h-pipe after they had made a few passes and could tell me if it made any difference. right now my exhaust consists of hooker super comp headers with 3" collectors and about an 18" piece of pipe with dynomax bullets clamped on.i thought h-pipes were just for low and mid range. my converter stalls at 4000 rpm. is that still mid range? a friend of mine has a 3" h-pipe kit he wants to trade but i was wondering if it would worth the trouble of installing

You'd gain maybe two tenths, but if your engine can make real use of the bigger size, the gains can be more.
