hey every one. i have a 1994 mustang GT with BBK headers and an aftermarket cam ( i havent been able to determin the make as of yet) now i am so have a friend that has wached "fast and the furious" one to many times. he is quite shure in saying his 1991 si civic with a 4 cyl v-tech DOHC would wipe the flore with me.. is there merit in this.. would a honda civic be better of the line then a GT mustang?

Not likely but just keep in mind his car is a lot lighter than yours. What has he done to it?

I smoked my buddies 02 Civic. He has larger injectors, bigger TB, custom tune, and a turbo setup on his. I think my best et this weekend was about 1 second better than his. I run a 96 Cobra, but you still should easily wipe the floors with him. The only real challenge I had was a Civic SI type r with a turbo. That was one CLOSE race, but I beat him.
The best thing is to let your buddy talk trash, and then go to the track, and smoke him. Just make sure you get a few practice runs in, as my first run with the turbo civic I spun my tires all the way through 2nd gear.
My sons are into this rice crap,and they said their buddy had a 1999 civic si v-tec dohc that was supercharged & had nos and would blow me off the road. We lined them up before my 347 was supercharged. I told him I dont turn a cam for less that $500.00. needless to say at the end of the quarter mile I beat him by 4 cars with my street tires Thanks to him now I have a new interior. So go suck him up one exhaust pipe & spit him out the other.

off of him! me and my buddies have our nickname saying for
these FAST AND THE FURIOUS GUYS , we call them the

Ok after I went turbo in my little focus I raced a civic hatch with a swap in it (I forget what one). I outran him and my buddy was behind me in his dads 94 5.0. His stock 5.0 beat the piss out of me, which is why the 4 cylinder will not exist in my car for much longer.
$10,000+4 cylinder= 200whp/220ft lbs
$10,000+302= at least 700whp/700 ft lbs
the majority of the drag racers, where i am, run imports.
most of them, even with all the mods, only run about high14's to mid16's
turbo'd or not civics dont even come close, he'll beat you off the line, but you'll end way ahead.
i'm a big mustang fans but if u believe u can rope hi s ass i dont know but all i can say there no way be side, lik e i say all time it's about the driver can u drive shift well if that there no way he can beat u up 100% gad ur back ight
