Default Roll Bar/Cage and Subframe Connectors

Here's the plan: install a 6 point Roll Bar and Subframe Connectors into a 1991 Convertible. I wanted to post this here to get a few ideas from everyone and maybe a few suggestions too.

Bring the subframe connectors through the floor pan? I've got mixed feelings on this one. I did this with my past 2 cars but this one is a little different. The last 2 cars were "streetable" drag cars and this vert will be a Street car first, drag car second; hence the reason I'm only going with a 6 point at this time. I'm sure this will be upgraded to a 12 point sometime next year but right now I'm having an issue talking myself into putting a full cage in a convertible! What do you think, bring the subframes through the floor pan or just weld them under the car?

I'll be installing a weld in cage instead of bolt in so I'll be attaching the cage to the subframes either way.

Thanks for any input!

Through the floor is the ONLY proper way to create a foundation for a roll bar or cage.

It will help the rigidity of the car A LOT to go through the floor.

Would it be possible to run the subframe connecters under the floor, then just remove small sections of the floor to attach the roll cage to the subframe as long as you weld in to fill any gaps once you were done? I was planning on welding in connecters under the car, then just going through the floor with the cage.
