Default Manual 2006 Mustang V6, cant stop tire spin on launch

Ok so, i have a strip 5 mins. from my house just shy of a 1/4 mile long that i do runs on.(its a future development no houses, its sweet)

anyways I have stock tires and i lauched at 2k the first time, usually it only sweaks a little and chirps but i couldnt catch at all today. i tried again at 1500 and it still did it. I know a t-loc and gears would help but im trying to figure out if its just the cold air(about 60 degrees)+stock tires or if its how im launching.

It is a combination of your tires and open differential...... My Gt has a severe problem hooking on street tires whether at the track or not. If you add a t-lock and softer tires(drag radials), your problems will go away. Good luck......

Try slipping the clutch around 2500-3000 rpm's, thats what I do with both my 5.0L and my 6 cylinder when I'm running on street tires.

How much colder it it now than it was the last time your tires would hook? Are you heating up the tires before launch or launching cold? Have you changed anything on the car? If not then it's probably just the temperature of the tires and the pavement.

Heck, My 2.3 auto spins 245/60/14's on the street when I launch at 2 grand. At the track, I use some drag radials, plus the track preps the starting line, so no problem, launching at 2300 rpms.
