Default 1996 Mustang would like to strip as much weight off as possible , School Car Project

Our school is building a 1996 Mustang with a carbureted 302 from a 1987 mustang LX. We have aftermarket headers and modified top end including cams, push rods, springs, valves, rockers, ported stock heads and an underdrive crank pulley. It has no ignition, no carb (as of yet we may be getting a Holley), no rear end, no cage, and the interior is halfway stripped. We are making it into a drag car and are considering a 400 shot nitrous system (already bought), tubs, 8.8 diff, 4 point rear end, and 90/10 front shocks. We would like to strip as much weight off as possible incluing all of the sound deadening material and are not opposed to modifying the sheet metal parts. We are looking for sponsorships, cheap parts and any help.

I'd like to help.

I'm not to sure how this would help but i know they sell a carbon fiber hood and front left and right fenders. That should take some weight off. and they also sell a carbon fiber trunk lid.
Make your windows out of thin plex-e-glass.
Remove all the door frame(stuff) and weld at least the passenger side door shut. the cage should help it. Get a smaller gas tank. Get a subfram connector.
Remove your smog pump and a/c pump...

You should sell all the interior/good left over parts you can.
