Default Best Drag Radials? What do you think?

I have heard about many brands of drag radials. I see M/T Streets, BF Goodrich drag radials, and Hoosier Quick Time Pro Drag D.O.T slicks. To me the Hoosier's look sweet, but they say HOOSIER in big WHITE lettering on the sidewall. Anyone run with these? WHAT ABOUT NITTO'S? I will run them all year around just on the street, and only on the track a little bit. What do you guys have? What do you think?

Thanks
HENRY

I believe that the best drag radials for the money are the Nitto Extreme Drags. They are very affordable and almost wear like a normal tire. Even wet weather traction is pretty good. I bought mine for $110 each so shop around. Make sure you heat them up nicely before drag racing to get the best traction.

I've seen M/T's go 11.3 at the strip on a 69 Camero with squeeze. Full interior.

They hook really good!!!!

The best drag radials for traction absolutely are the BFGs. However if you want to drive them everyday, I highly recommend the Nitto NT555Rs, they hook better in wet weather and don't wear as quickly.
You can't shock Nittos but you can shock BFGs.
Its all a matter of function, how much racing you're going to do.

I have to concur with JUSTNLX when I had the BFG Drags on my 95 GTS with 315rwph I spun them like crazy. I tried different lanunch techniques, pressure, tempature, and all I got was spin spin spin. I finally sold them at Fun Ford one year.

Slicks for me next time.

I dyno'd @ 335rwhp, 400lbs rwtrq with a blown head gasket in 85 deg weather. Bone stock engine with twins @ 8psi

The only street tire that would hook M/T Streets. I have not tried the Hoosiers, but a friend of mine swears by-um.

I'm with Dale, I run M/T drag slicks. I only mess around at the track, so why not use slicks.

I run the BFG's and at the track I can launch at around 5 grand. They hook on my car hard enough to bog the car down for a bit. To top that off, they are 17 inch.

SSCLX:

Where did you get your Nitto's for $110? Best Price I've ever seen and I am shopping for them too!

Thanks for the help.

I have a set of BFG's for sale if someone who can hook with them. They spun all over the place on my car. I've got Hoosier Quick Times and they are awesome. I can do a nice street burnout and they hook almost as good as my slicks at the track. If you are going to everyday drive it you might want the Nittos. I have a friend who has those and they look like they are wearing really well.
