I live in Northern KY and would like to know if anyone around here knows some good meeting spots for Mustangs around here. Or if someone would like to set up a spot to start getting some of the Mustang owners in our area to meet up, hang out and enjoy the summer with our Mustangs.

Forgive my ignorance friend... Northern KY? How far north...? I'm from Louisville and I've been looking for MUSTANG meetings but I still haven't found anything other than expensive clubs and stuff like that. They charge you a fee to belong to their Club and I really don't see why they would do such thing. What are the benefits of belonging to a car club anyways?..
So, if you do wanna get some MUSTANGs united and we're close enough to each other, I'm up for it... but it sounds ridiculous if it's just two MUSTANGs. I got a friend who lives close. He's got a beautiful 94 Convertible GT and a FASTBACK from the 60's... though the last one is still a project in process... Whatever happens let me know what's on your mind. Keep posting here and I'll keep in touch.

Been talking with a few stang owners, but have not recieved any firm answers on agreeing to some gatherings.
One of the gatherings Iwanted to do was meet up at Sonic in Radcliff and cruise up to the drag strip. But no returns. So if someone else wants to take the helm for the Fort Knox Grandenburg, Radcliff Vine Grove Elizabethtown areas let me know am so there!!!!!
Am up on facebook and Yahoo.

Just might get a few to throw some good information.
I have to say I could make the trip for fun if there were enough people. But the busy college schedule and the lack of spare time will probably keep me from going. That's my reason why I wouldn't give a definite yes or no answer. I won't ever answer with NO because I do wanna go, and I won't answer with YES either because I don't wanna dissapoint and be the "absent" one. But when you said drag strip, did you mean OHIO VALLEY RACEWAY? Because I've been by there a couple of times.

Truely understandable. one of my favorite answers. One ofthe wonderful things about starting gatherings on a regular basis is that one does not have to attend all and worry about the next month or year to attend.
Look forward to seeing what all turns out. So in the mean time here is a link to myphotobucket of past events I've attended.
Link to some past photo's of cruises I've attended
You know how you see these things and you get the chills. That's the pride on driving a MUSTANG. Now, where was that gathering?
I saw 5.0's, second, third, fourth generation, GT's, Convertibles, that ridiculously excentric green one with the huge wing. How many MUSTANGS were there?
That's the magic of driving a car you take pride on. I think I would be ashamed on turning up to one of those events. I haven't put a single aftermarket part in mine and everyone would be running superchargers already. hahahaha. But I got big plans. Beautiful, just beautiful.
By the way, I just answered truthfully. I've always wanted to go cruising but if you join a club then you have to pay fees and they do it once every year or whenever they can organize it. But when you join gatherings like you did, you kinda feel even more free. And since it's usually like every weekend you can choose to attend or not to... but I'll tell you. YOU DO IT ONCE, and YOU WILL ALWAYS BE THERE!!
I know it!
Was yours the one that had the "WILDHORSES" windshield decal?

Great responses. My car was behind the lime green one. The 2005 Mineral gray GT has only minor updates. had to put the throatier GTA mufflers on the car, plus addedthe chase\sequentioal turnsignals. did a few spruces ups in the interior. Didn't change a thing otherwise. Was perfect out of the box. LOL. I now sport a Wildhorses logo on my windshield. Along with a southeastern Arizona one on the corner window. The gathers put on by Wildhorses club do not offer dues or fee's. The affiliation am wanting to put together will be the same. I feel that the only thing someone should pay for are the gas to get to and from events, plus any food places we all stop at to munch out at. My vision is to have a place that would allow weekly gatherings just to talk about events ( again NOT mandatory). Help out the community with parades, car show and shines, High school home comming parades (verts will luv this one). Thats just to name a few. Was talking with a few guys at work today and handed out a few cards to promote the gatherings. Will know of any more responses soon. So in the mean time I'll be headed to Hopkinsville to a Show and Shine This Friday (tomorrow). Look forward to more input.

Wow... I can only imagine how great it would be. I know personally a couple of people that would like to attend but I don't know if they would be willing to go as far "SW" as Hopkinsville or even Fort Knox. I went once to OHIO VALLY RACEWAY. That's on Dixie Hwy... but I went with my family alone. What a shame... a single, lonely MUSTANG.
I couldn't join you now anyways, I'm finalizing this quarter of college and all the tests are coming. But please, please, please... keep me updated on the gatherings. If you ever have one close by I might just show up!!! hahahaha!
Thanks for the info on the CLUB. Wildhorses sound like something I could bear on my windshield and my heart with lots of pride.
Maybe a bit out of subject, but here in Louisville, exactly in Jeffersontown... there is a parade called the GASLIGHT Parade... and I wish the locals would let us participate... but I'm not sure they will. I'm only assuming though, I have never done anything to attend in my MUSTANG. Plus, it's not the same as a whole bunch of MUSTANGS attending formed behing each other in two lines but I think they may find it out of theme for the parade.
Anyways, I will stay in touch and by the way... you have a beautiful MUSTANG. Don't mind the "minor mods", mine is totally stock and I bet you're not as proud of your car as I am of just having mine... The subseq. taillights is a big one. I mean, you are the one who has it... there is no one better than you to say how much attention it attracts!
Have fun at Hopkinsville...

Thanks a million for the comments. Will keep you posted on all the events. Will even post the pictures since Digi cam is addicting LOL.
The Dixie speedway (drag strip is just a spit from me and would definately be a multiple cruise time for gatherings. Think the farthest ones I'd like to put together would be about three hours drive in distance. North would be Indy or Ohio. South west of course to Clarksville for any Nashville runs. I've started to hand out little business card style flyers to friends to pass out. So hoping to hear back soon. There are soooo many mustangs in this " in between" area that something like this would be fantastic to fill the voids.
Ok am out for now. Pass the word if you can.

That's awesome! If you ever drop by the drag strip, I would love to go... from there we could meet and organize something. Just make sure you say it in advance.
I will pass the word, but you know how that works. There is always somebody who can't make it, though I'm sure you would understand. I don't know many people but I have a neighbor and some other people who might wanna go. I will pass the word, but there are a lot of "A to B" MUSTANG drivers that do not take pride on what they drive.
Be careful, taking pictures of MUSTANGs is addictive... it's not the camera. lol!

Hi there, So true on the pic addict. It's a wonderful thing about these gatherings. Law of averages is that no one can make them all. Weekly meets are made for just that type of thing. If it was a monthly thing all would be total losses. Even though I'll be at Hopkinsville today, I can still try and drum up a few to cruise to the dragstrip next Saturday. Was just talking to a few of my buds in Tucson. They still do their meets at the Sonic in town. Another of my goals, speaking of everyday drivers, is to also gather these drifters(not the japanese thing LOL) into the corral and really give them some of the things and history of that current car they drive hasstoredup. Help them along in turning thier beaters into an awsome ride to be proud of. We all start someplace. Ok back to checking my emails and other forums. Need to print some more hand out flyers also.
Ciao

Ok all am back from Hopkinsville. Time to put in some motion on getting the local area organised for some cool gatherings. Plus some neighborhood family functions. These events could include the Fort Knox Fire Department, The post MP's or even the Rockerhttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adT...1_magglass.gif club or youth events.
This will take more than me beating the pavement.
Off to louisville I go
