Hey, I just moved back to Wisconsin from California and I have a '65 that needs some work, wondering if anyone has a trusted shop/mechanic somewhere in Wisconsin that they would suggest??

I would recomend Simons Autobody in St. Nazianzianz WI 54232. He has my 65 Fastback right now, I am getting a build 5.0 HIPO put in it with a Kenny Bell S/C and some other body and interior work.

I'm from Janesville, WI and work in Madison.

There is a shop just off of Veronia rd (hwy 18 & 151) called Performance Plus. Doug is the man. This is his web site http://www.performance-plus.com/main.htm

I 'm a newbie to the forums & am learning alot about future and mods in progress, so to speak. I hail from Waukesha originally, but, settled in Sheboygan. I see quite a few nice 'Stangs out & about in summer. I don't think they know about or are interested in forum-speak.

My parents still live there. I love to get down there any time for a good cruise. Sheboygan is kind of boring . I go through Oconomowoc and Watertown as well as New Berlin/West Allis etc. Nice thing is you can go 20 minutes and be somewhere else.

I agree. It's a great area. I have relatives in Delafield and Pewaukee, friends in Oconomowoc, New Berlin, West Allis, Brookfield, and the list goes on... There are some great roads to cruise around here. Decent scenery too. Drop me a line if you are heading into the area. I will update you on any known road construction or speed traps areas to avoid.

great ! Will do. I won't want to take it out till the salt is gone. I have a 62mm Throttle body,a GMS intake and Boom Tubes to intall ( Too cold now). I can't wait for the good weather. Road const. seems to be ever-present. My clutch hates stop-n-go.

Sometimes I go I-43 to Hwy. 60 to Hwy 83. Not as quick but, less boring. I used to hate stop signs till I got this car.

Let me know how your mods. work out. I am still on the fence regarding modifications. I am not sure how far I want to go with it. Once I get started...... I've been through this before. I grew up around 60s and 70s muscle cars. Owned a few of them over the years. Great toys, costly hobby.

I'm not going to much farther than these mods. I don't want to risk damage or have to invest mega moolah internally. I just want about 50-60 more rwhp and some external mods.

Sounds good. Where do you purchase your accesories? There are some many online vendors and shops just in this area, but there is a lot of difference in prices as well. I have a friend who has his own auto repair business, so I can buy some items through him at a discount, but it is always a good idea to shop around in my opinion.
