Greetings to All!
Its been a while since I've been out here on the Mustang Forum.
I must say I do miss you folks. I truly enjoyed my time here when
I owned my classic 65 Fastback.
Well, I thought I would share with you my one proud moment
I enjoy once a year. My Wife, Joyce who, is a breast cancer survivor,
has been involved with a worthy, charitable cause for the last 10 years -
The Susan G. Komen Foundation.
She has been the chairperson for the Race for the Cure in Grand Rapids,Mi
for the last 8 years. A sponsored race by a variety of National and local sponsors
to hold a 5k run and walk to raise money for breast cancer awareness.
I proud to say that the Ford Motor Company is one of our National Sponsors.
For the last 8 years, I too have been a volunteer for the Komen Foundation and Trash committee chairman for my tenure. Yes, Trash.
I get to the Rivertown Crossings Mall dark and early - 5:30A to help setup
the event, stragtically locating trash cans throughout the parking deck and to supervise as well as pickup the mess afterwards. Its rewarding in many ways,
but my biggest perk is the being the Pace Car driver.
On Saturday, I will be driving a limited edition 2008 Mustang Convertible -
(2500 limited production) in honor of the Komen Foundation.
2008 Mustang Warriors in Pink Edition
Have a good one.
