Smile 2008 Limited Edition Mustang Convertible Komen Foundation

Greetings to All!

Its been a while since I've been out here on the Mustang Forum.
I must say I do miss you folks. I truly enjoyed my time here when
I owned my classic 65 Fastback.

Well, I thought I would share with you my one proud moment
I enjoy once a year. My Wife, Joyce who, is a breast cancer survivor,
has been involved with a worthy, charitable cause for the last 10 years -
The Susan G. Komen Foundation.

She has been the chairperson for the Race for the Cure in Grand Rapids,Mi
for the last 8 years. A sponsored race by a variety of National and local sponsors
to hold a 5k run and walk to raise money for breast cancer awareness.

I proud to say that the Ford Motor Company is one of our National Sponsors.
For the last 8 years, I too have been a volunteer for the Komen Foundation and Trash committee chairman for my tenure. Yes, Trash.

I get to the Rivertown Crossings Mall dark and early - 5:30A to help setup
the event, stragtically locating trash cans throughout the parking deck and to supervise as well as pickup the mess afterwards. Its rewarding in many ways,
but my biggest perk is the being the Pace Car driver.

On Saturday, I will be driving a limited edition 2008 Mustang Convertible -
(2500 limited production) in honor of the Komen Foundation.

2008 Mustang Warriors in Pink Edition

Have a good one.

Rudy

That edition is so neat. Wish I could get one for my wife. She'd be blown away.

This may sound kind of weird, but one of the other threads was about the lottery and and asked what one thing would you indulge yourself in if you won the lottery.

One thing I would do is buy a 2008 Mustang Warriors In Pink Edition and give it to a co-worker who has battled cancer for years. She had a double mastectomy, brain surgery to remove a tumor, and fought countless boughts of cancer that randomly pop up. And she goes to the local cancer center each Friday for chemo. She's quite a lady. A survivor.

What could be a more meaningful gift than that car, to drive to work, to treatment and wherever else she would like to go.

Hi Rudy!

Nice to meet ya!

I think that edition is VERY cool and has so much meaning!

Your drive will mean so much to so many... We have a member here who just was told they found a lump and will be going for a biopsy shortly... so we are all with ya!

Go Rudy!

To bad they are not bringing the Warriors in Pink Shelby GT500 they used on the Champ Car circuit for you to drive.

What ever happened to that car?

Default Warriors in Pink Special Edition

Here's a link to the new V6 Warriors in Pink Special Edition:

Ford: 2008 Ford Mustang Warriors in Pink Package power cars specifications

It comes in 3 colors (black, silver and white, but not pink) and has pink accents, some interior upgrades, and includes the Pony Package.

Didn't see any mention of the pink GT500 ChampCar promo car.

i am trying to convince my mother who just went through a bout of breast cancer last winter to get a Warriors in Pink mustang. She is still on the fence. But she has got to get rid of this mini-van. it only have 35,000 miles on it being a 2000 Dodge caravan. but the stupid thing has had problem after problem. Brakes, lights, you name it. And the brakes, she has gone through like 3 sets. Its just not a well-built car.

I am also trying to convince her to go wild and to get a convertible

I am a longtime supporter of the Komen Foundation and also lost a great friend to Breast Cancer. My avatar on another site is a picture of the Komen symbol and the label "Warrior"
