My car type was the first out of production to be followed by a saloon with a supercharged ford 4.6 lump. With MGR going under there were only 883 V8 cars produced and I feel lucky to have one sitting in my garage.
If you are after a crated engine with ecu they are around but as I understand it a good number were re-imported back into the States during 2006. |
Cheers Tim,
I did work in a few Rover Dealerships back in the 80s/90s and had many friends and family who worked at Longbridge, hence I cant stand Clarkson.
His comments are purile and idiotic, non of my family were communists yet worked there for years.Bad management destroyed Rover group many years b4 Red Robbo etc.
After all how do you design a replacement for the 1800 when they tell you to only use 1800 doors? You end up with the Maxi.
Sincere apologies to all for goin off topic wont happen again.

'Oh lord wont you buy me a car for the bends, I now own a Chevy and must make amends.
Please send me a Mustang to make all those bends fun, and as for the straights well its run G.M. run.'
