Default 2008 Mustang V6 Navigation, European Map Coverage Required!!!

Hello everyone,

I recently got a new 2008 FORD MUSTANG that has a factory installed navigation system with U.S. map coverage, and I need a "European disc" that I can operate, since I will be moving to Europe in a few months and wish to take the car with me. The system uses maps from NAVTEQ and the unit is self is manufactured by PIONEER (no logo of PIONEER is visible on the unit as they have sub-contracted to Ford on this).
I have contacted Ford U.S.A (they don't have a "European disc", I am still waiting for a response from Ford Europe (but since the model is not produced there I don't hope for much), NAVTEQ is also not able to help me and (PIONEER is not offering support for this model).
The only thing that keeps my hopes up is that I have discovered that NAVTEQ uses an "open system map", whatever that exactly means :-) , and maybe I will be able to use a compatible disc from another system or vehicle.
Any ideas? Please Help.

Thanks in advance,

---John---
