Welcome to the forums from a fellow european.

It all boils down to either getting one that already is in Spain, or actually importing one. If it's your first one, I'd recommend trying to get one that already is in Spain, so you can testdrive it prior to buying it to see if it works for you or not.

Your best bet would then be to either contact the Spanish Mustang club, and go through car dealers to find that Mustang that you want. Model, age, engine, price, whatever you feel you want.

Based on that you can locate various notices about the Mustang, and find out known issues with the car, so you can pay specific attention to those issues prior to purchasing the car.

Be aware... actually importing the car will up the price of the vehicle. Be very sure you are aware of the costs. If possible locate someone that imports cars from the US or has expirience in doing so, so you are sure to handle taxes, shipping, and whatnot in a proper fashion.

Also know that parts and maintenance for the Mustang are a bit harder to come by. I know my Ford dealer (who I asked prior to purchase if he could support the car's maintenance) needs about 2 to 4 weeks to order parts if something breaks, and I try to take that into account prior to it's yearly checkup.

Also inform yourself of insurance and any taxes that come with the car. It's a shame if you buy the car, then find out it's too expensive to actually drive.

Other then that... have a read at these:

Check Ebay! When I was looking for a Mustang in europe for a summer car in Greece I found a few in Spain listed on Ebay. You might be able to score one in England too.

Hi Balty,
I bought my ´Stang here in Spain. I would advise you to talk to Importer Store, even the dollar is low now, It´s easier to do that way. Look at autoscout24.es, you have penty of mustangs there . . . If I were you I will buy it with the spanish plate.

Take care,

You can ship a car from US to spain. It is much cheaper, you'll have to pay 10% and about 17% more custom duty and tax. you can contact any auto exporting company who will take care of everything for you until you pick the car up at the port anywhere in EU.

there are a few things you have to do.

1)Find a dealer to purchase a car from.

2)find a reliable shipping company

3)Get all the paper work requires and present that to US custom at least 72 hours before the car leaves us boarder.

4) prepare to pick up the car at EU port
a) must be prepared to pay custom duty and tax (10% +17%) this depends on which country, but the number i gave you is relatively high estimate.

5) Get you car converted into EU spec(lightings etc...) this can be perform at many shop. for a relatively cheap price

do the paper works to register it and you'll be on the road.

if you'd like more help just PM me. best of luck
