Its got a cold air intake, and some kind of adjustable shocks on it, There are nobs on the top of the front struts that read firmer or softer. Any idea as to the brand? The car sits like its been lowered but the dealer is saying you can adjust the ride hight by adjusting these nobs, I just dont know. The car also has a infinity amp/sub unit it the trunk and sounds great, halo headlights and some kind of grill upgrade, pypes exhaust and short throw shifter. There asking 20,950 for it, I didnt drive it but my wife tore up the highway pretty good with it and I think we may see what they will do on the price but wanted to run it by ya'll and see what you think. Below is a link to it.

Hello all, new to the forums here. I have a question I would like some opinions on. I have a 2003 GT.

Late last year just after putting car into 5th gear a banging noise started in the drive train. At the time it sounded and felt like I had lost a universal on the driveshaft. Turns out that was not the issue. The banging was perfectly timed with the speed that I was moving. I had a mechanic take a quick look at it and he told me it was likely a clip in the transmission (TR-3650) had broken. Well I have the tranny out and stripped down and there does not apear to be anything at fault there.

One thing I noticed during disassembly was that the 5th gear and syncro cone assembly gear had a bit of play on the shaft. A question for those that have worked on this tranny, is that normal?

Too all those that have more wrench time on the mustang than I do, give me your opinions of the likely cause of the noise. Note that I drove the car to my winter storage location in the fall, and about half way there the noise stopped. And when I took it out this spring, the banging was also not present.

Thanks for your input.

I was searching for my AC vacuum hose, hoping to find it disconnected or cracked, because my air will only come out of the defrost vent. The only disconnected line that I found is the one in the attached picture but I am not sure that this is the AC line because it's not long enough to reach the vacuum tree nor does the line look small enough to fit the nipple on the tree.

To explain the pic, the line starts out as a small, hard plastic line that comes out of the the firewall on the passenger side. It's the one at the red arrow. It then continues on to the left where it's then connected to a bigger rubber hose (the first red star.) It then goes to a T (top red star). The line to the left of the T goes to the charcoal canister but the line on the right goes nowhere.

Is this the AC line that should go to the vacuum tree or is this an intake line that should be connected to the upper intake manifold?

Hi guys, new member here asking for a bit of help. I know some people get annoyed with 1st poster just after info so a little intro first. My names Jon and I run a garage over in Harwich, UK. I deal with lots of classics and one of them is a 1965 early model 289 Mustang which is why I am here today....

We got this in last week for new looms to be fitted, we have done the engine bay, dash and trunk looms. Everything has gone well, all starts, most of the bits work (oil pressure light and temp gauge don't but someone has fitted gauges to do these so I am guessing they swapped the senders out, something for another day). The problem I have got is with the turn signals, they seem to have gone a bit funny. When you switch them on the lights come on solid, the tell tale only lights up for one side as well. I have replaced the flasher and this hasn't helped, if you unplug the flasher the lights still stay on solid as well. I have searched and searched but can not find this particular issue out there on the web.

Anyone able to help or point me in a direction of what could be at fault?

Cheers

almost 3 years ago i decided to buy a sport car to drive at the weekends, started with transam or similar, ended up with mustang gt 2005 convertible which became my everyday car immediately after my first drive,

nowadays i decided to add a little power, may be around 100 hp , but i dont want to change the appearance of the cluster panel, add some new gauges like i have sawn in couple of imprezas,

considering that every piece needs to be imported do you guys have some recomendations what i can do for such an improvement, which parts need to be added and/or modified, and lastly do such modifications have side effects, like excessive wearing, temperature etc and have negative effects on the life of the engine and accessories,

what i dont like is the first response to throttle, may be it doesnt have any relation with the existing power

sorry for being so ignorant on the subject,

So my question is...would I be better served getting a new set of perhaps Track Specific Tires for this and two other track events in July...or should I just burn these up?

What would you recommend? For a little background, here is a video of a Mustang FR500S on the track. It's a pretty technical and narrow bugger...undulating thru thick forests and brushing nasty walls. I can think of several spots where losing a tire would make for a very bad day!

So I'm in the market for a seat upgrade and I'm trying to gather intel on the installation of these 2 seats, pros and cons.
I'm wanting to stay in the Ford family:cheers verses branching out to the aftermarket options.

1) ...From what I've gathered, they both will bolt right in to the existing Fox body layout using the 99-04 brackets but I will have to splice into the connecters to use the power options.

If I just use the stock bracket I will have to use a couple of washers etc to keep the seat from binding on the floor/seat rail.

2) ...Adversely the seat height will be raised slightly, ...is all this correct?? I currently have 94-98 seats in with my old brackets and it did raise the seat height a little, so I'm very used to it already and I actually liked that change if that's the case.

Anyone had problems or issues concerning these two seats when they installed them??

Is one way more comfortable than the other??:shrug thanks for any advice while I'm searching for an upgrade!!

Hey everyone! New to this forum, and I'm bringing a tough issue to the table. I bought my beautiful 2000 GT about a year ago, and realized it had some problems when I got it home...:(

Now, lets just say I have lived with them long enough, and it's time to get them fixed once and for all!

Here it is...
The main problem is the idle, of course (as stated by title!). But anyway, what's going on is whenever the AC is on at idle, the rpms do not want to stay constant (mainly because the AC is kicking on and off), but even that shouldn't cause them to constantly go up and down. Right?

Also, once warmed up to normal temp without AC on, it doesn't want to idle below 1100! I have checked a couple of the most common situations: IAC (has been replaced), TPS (adjusted and is sitting right at .985 Volts), inspected MAF (looked like brand new), recharged AC (blows ice cold air), reset KAM after each step, and have checked for leaks with carb cleaner (though not very thoroughly), and have not been able to figure it out.

The other problem is that there seems to be a slight jerking almost like the engine is starving for air when I let off the throttle at cruising speeds (makes me think of IAC, but it's already been replaced...)

SO, what else could this be!? I have been searching tons of forums and have yet to find someone with this exact problem who has fixed it! (Someone's gotta be the first!)

Here's a video of what's goin' on - Mustang idle issues - YouTube

I noticed that the driver side of my engine (exhaust manifold) seems to be getting a lot hotter then the passenger side manifold area.. not knowing any better I figured it was nothing so didn't do anything about it. recently I noticed one of my mufflers was rattling inside so I decided to replace them both (with flowmaster 40s series) which I did myself without a problem... a friend of mine wanted to check out what I did and hear how it sounds. he for the heck of it decided to cover the tailpipes with his hand to see how the pressure was I suppose and well he pointed out that the passenger side had a good flow of exhaust coming out of it and the driver side has very lil pressure coming from the exhaust.. which definitely tells me something isn't right on the drivers side. seeing that I just replaced both mufflers I know it cant be the muffler causing the lack of pressure. I believe the cat on the drivers side is the original one the passenger side was replaced before so im assuming it must be that the cat is clogged or something to do with that cat but I could be wrong. whatever it is it is causing the exhaust manifold to get hot enough to melt the wire looming I have over my plug wires. anyways any ideas what is causing the problem or is it likely the cat is plugged up?? although the issue hasn't caused any check engine light codes to come up. any ideas would help thanks
