I guess the net margin on that oil was better...
Anyway, the cars seems to run OK.
Did anybody try that oil ? Any risks ?

Is the new C&L Intake Manifold and BBK (or FRPP) Throttle Body a good combination? I've been trying to decide to keep my 06 GT NA or supercharge it. I'm now leaning towards keeping it NA as within the past year I've had 4.10's and Comp Cams Stage 1 NSR cams installed. In addition, I have a Steeda CAI and High Flow Inlet tube and JBA Cat4ward headers. My goal is 400 HP at the crank. I like the C&L IM idea and was wondering if in combination with a new TB would get me an extra 25 to 30 HP at the crank. Opinions?

Well, I haven't been very active recently due to the fact that I am away from home and my car, due to the fact that I am attending school in Ohio (GO BUCKS!) However, in my absence my dad has greatly enjoyed full access to my car. Recently, the check engine light has been coming on and now matter what we do we cannot get it to shut off, the car drives fine however the idle had been shuttering a bit and occasionally falling so low that the car would stall. Well today he finally brought it to the FORD dealership where he was informed that a new throttle body is required, now while it may seem like this would be a good time to get a heftier one like the GT500 I have never intended to put enough power into my car to necessitate a heavy duty throttle body, so it looks like 550 dollars later I will have a new throttle body installed......please shoot me now

I have quiet a few suspension mods, And they seem to do the trick with putting power to the ground and being able to go around corners decently fast. But i want more. I want less squieeky noises and more Vroom Vroom like a BMW =D

Yes this is my Daily Driver
Yes i want a Corner Carver / Drag racer / smooth DD, and acording to Griggs its possible with there system
NO, i do want squeeky suspension!!!:nono:

I’m hoping one of you smarter folks can help me with this problem
The background: I have a 2006 Mustang GT 4.6L engine that I have installed into a 49 Ford Convertible. I have completed the wiring (I think) but I can’t get her to start.
I have a non-mustang fuel pump but it is connected to the Fuel pump driver module and when I put the key in run I can measure 50-60 PSI going into the fuel rail so I think this is good.
I have checked that I am getting power to the coils (only checked one) and I do get a spark in the plug that I checked. I tried removing one side of the fuel rails and injectors, and after hooking back up the FRPT sensor and the injector wires, I don’t get any spray from any of the injectors. This is probably not a good test of the injectors but it was the best I could come up with. Of interest though is that I did spray some gas into the cylinders when the injectors were removed, and when I tried to start it later did get the engine to turn over a few times. In summary—I have good cranking, power to the coils with confirmed spark, good fuel pressure, but I have no way to actually check that the injectors are functioning OK
Also, I did re-program the computer to ignore the PATS system. On the first reprogram the starter would not turn so I had my guy recheck the PATS setting and there was a second item that needed to be turned off. When the new program was downloaded the starter functions normally. He tells me that if the starter is turning the PATS system is turned off but I’m still not sure since it seems to me that if I am getting power to the injectors (I do) in start and run, it must be the computer that is not allowing the injectors to function. Only other thing I can think of is that since this engine has sat for 3 years, ALL of the injectors are gummed up—which I think is unlikely. Can anyone help me with just where I go from here?
Can anyone tell me how much voltage I should be able to measure at the fuel injector plugs?
Thanks in advance
Bill

So I posted a couple days ago askin about peoples opinions and ideas on little things to do to get my time down for this past sunday when I went to the track and I figured I would come back and post how my day went.

Well, first off I can say it wasn't a great day at the track for me. Although we are in the colder weather down here in LA it was still nice and hot and humid outside. Not very ideal for a good race day. My first run I did not take off the line hard enough and ended up bogging very bad. Not a good run at all. My second run was a little bit better although I still needed to launch at a lil higher of an rpm. Still had bogging issues off the line. Right before my third run the tree failed and they spent two hours switching computers and getting it fixed. What I say, "great day". Anyway, doing my burn out before my third launch my buddy noticed only one tirewas spinning. Go figure. And I pulled up to the line revved up saw the third yellow and took off. As soon as I launched what happens. Let's just say bye bye clutch. My clutch burned out. So that was my last run. We new going into racing Sunday it wouldn't be long before my clutch was gone but I wasn't expecting it this soon. I do have 40,000 miles on my car so hey it was expcted I guess. It upset me a little but I look at it as an oppurtunity to get a new aftermarket clutch. Needless to say it wasn't great day and I don't plan on being back to the track until march. Gonna bring my stang back and my camaro

CAI question:
All of you CAI owners...how does it work in heavy rain? I looked at my stock air filter housing on my 2009 GT and it draws air form the side. It has a drain in the bottom of the filter housing and the air has to go up through the filter. This arraingement seams to be pretty good at keeping rain water out of the engine. The CAI's that I have looked at seam relatively exposed to injesting water in a hard rain. What is your experience? Is this an issue or not? My car is my everyday driver so I can not just leave it in the garage when it is raining. I also live in Houston and it can rain very heavily...feet of rain.
