Ok so I have done this quite a few times on other people's cars (friends/ family) So I figure its a piece of cake like on any other car. WRONG! The headlights (H13 bulbs) are easy as pie to get to, but removing them from the mount/base is impossible (the grey plastic part with the wires attached to it.) My bulbs are like welded to the plastic I have tried pulling and pressing/pushing all ways possible to try and release them and now my fingers are raw from pressing so hard. I managed to get the passenger side bulb off last night, but I tried again this afternoon and its like STUCK. Is there something I am missing here/ not doing?

Now I told him not to.

With the advances in cars nowadays, he believes that even with the key on "on" it will just shut off.

Now I am positive it won't (shut off) and just await the button. But he insists it will.

Then I pointed it out....how do you kill it?

Anyone ever heard anything like this? and how long til I laugh at him?

Hey Guys,

The past few days I have felt the car's rear not grip and feel as if it slides a bit while turning. Is this a live-axle rear end side effect or could this be fixed with some steeda or eibach springs?

The tires are brand new, in the rear -- 285/40R18

Thanks,

I also was able to fill up the tank to where the gauge red '420 miles left to empty' maxed.

Today - I filled it up and it wont go above '325 miles to empty' - my dash is reading 19mpg in the city and maybe if im lucky, 20mpg on the highway.

I don't have a CAI or Tune as of yet, I haven't changed anything other than my thermostat housing and since i've done that - my mpg's have dropped significantly and my shifting has gone haywire (still CANT figure that out) - so what gives? Any reason for the drop off on mpg?

I typically will shift into 5th at about 45mph - 50mph. However, I get a high pitch whine until I get up to about 60mph. Is this normal for the T5?

Should I wait to shift into 5th until a higher speed. 4th gear at 50mph is about 2000 rpm, that seems too high for cruising down a city street.

I've been searching for about a hour so I thought I would just ask,

What's the max RPM on a stock 07 v6 engine before the valves smack into the pistons and ruin my day?

I'm dialing in a tune the hard way, and the higher I raise the limit the longer it pulls. Part of me wants to remove the rev limiter and just see when the car dips off, but another part of me thinks there's a good chance I'll just blow it.

Anyone already blown one up? I want to be a few hundred RPM under that ;)

Thanks,

I know there is a lot of threads out there about running duals on a V6. Well, this one's a little different because I know what I want to do...sort of. I keep bouncing back and forth between H-pipe and dual Flowmasters and the Terlingua side pipes. Problem: I cannot find a catted full length H pipe nor do I know where to look for the drivers side pipe to the rear. Is there any real difference in a stock GT H-pipe and an after market? Or should I just try to get a H from a GT owner who has up graded? I am also faced with the cutout for the second tip: I don't really want to cut it but I don't want to spend money on a GT rear bumper.

A potential solution to this is the Terlingua side exhuast by Borla. This would eliminate the need for a second cutout, and I think it's pretty darn cool, but I know virtually nothing about it.

Terlingua Exhaust By Borla: Performance &amp Exhaust System - Shelby Performance Parts LLC.

It called Selby and the guy said that the system clamps directly to the crossover pipe so I would still need to find an H pipe. So what is all of your opinions? I figure the cost is about the same ethier way. I would like to hear some comparisons of Borla and Flowmaster from people who actually have/had them.

Btw, New Take Off does not offer a GT H pipe.

I'm interested in getting a tlok (I guess ford racing unless someone knows of a better one for the 7.5) for my 08 v6. I'm curious about how hard the install is because I would like to do it myself, but I haven't found any writeups where someone didn't replace the gears as well. I don't want the gears because I do a lot of highway driving now, and of course it would be much more expensive to upgrade to the 8.8. Also, I do some autocross and I was wondering how much a lsd would benefit me there. If anyone has any suggests for a limited slip or the difficulty of the install could you let me know please? I'm assuming it would be easier that installing gears because that includes adjusting things like backlash and pinion angle, but I've never done that before either.

Im also considering a t-lock and 4.10 gears for my 2007 auto v6,later on.I never anticipate needing the 8.8 gt rear end and i can have a mechanic install the gears and t-lock fairly cheap.

The x-charger is way out of reach(god how i would love one:worship),But thinking realistically:smartass: this is about all i can afford for some while.I will never have this on a track, but will the set up i metioned really be noticable.I understand you cant play if you dont pay.

Thanks for any input:bigthumbsup

I also really need to know a cheap way effective way to cut the other bumper symmetrically for dual exhaust, the auto body guys want to take off the bumper and epoxy/fabricate it and I know you can just cut it.

I have the money to get the work done, but I don't want to waste any money getting my had slapped by sketchy auto body guys or mechanics. If someone could tell me the cheapest and most efficient way to go about doing all of this it would be much appreciated. I've posted this question before but I've yet to get any answers.

Below is a link to my vehicle now; I have quarter window louvers, shorty antenna, FOOSE wheels, and a audio system.
I just found out that modded axle gears also can be used to reject warranty claims. Is there a work-around for this? Can you just return to a stock tune and they would never know? Or can they detect when they do computer diagnostics when you get a tune-up that you have changed your gears or added LSD?

Any help is appreciated.

Ok so I get back to my dorm from taking a friend home from class and as i turn off my car i hear bubbling coming from under my hood. I pop the hood and open it up only to see water pouring out of the reservoir, well more like being forced out of it. I then call my step father to see if he can help over the phone, he told me to let it cool down for a little and then turn it back on and let the engine run while i put some water in until i can get some antifreeze the next morning.

I do as he said, I waited a while, then turned on the car and poured water in until it seemed to be at a good enough level. As soon as I put the cap back on (could even be before i was about to put it back on) water again seemed to be forced out pouring all out and now I have water all under my car like it was making a lake under there. Can anyone tell me what is causing this?!?!?!? I'm getting very frustrated and super concerned about this:sadcry. My step dad said it could be because of a overheated engine but I ALWAYS check my gauges for that. What else could it be???:banghead:

I' tired of my yellow hue, and the deal I got on all 4 of them its worth trying out these "HID Look alikes"... whatever. So the Headlights are no problem... easy as hell to install. However, after a look at the pony grill I realized the fog lights are a ***** to get to. I looked underneath the bumper and under the radiator cover. But those darn things are about 1/4 inch away from the radiator. So I read that there a plastic tabs on the sides that need to be released... I tried it, but they seem really fragile, and I DONT wanna break off those cheap plastic tabs or I'll have a half grill lol. I just need enough space to change the bulbs on the fog lamps. Has anyone done this?
