I have an A servo in my C-4 and was told that an H would deliver a quicker/firmer shift. I am having problems locating one. I have seen aftermarket servos that claim to be "as good as" but was leary of non ford parts. I have the tranny out and just finished a performance rebuild. The servo is the only thing that I would like to do before it goes back into the car. I used a Hughes race rebuild kit and did the oil passage upgrade and the 6 gear planetary with a full manual valve body. I could use help locating a servo that will work. I replaced the o rings in the A that's in the transmission but I wasn't sure if I would be happy with it.
thanks

Hey folks,
Went to Orlando Speedworld last night and made a few runs. Although my times were way better than my previous best, thanks to the CAI and tune, I still feel I should be running at least high 13's given what I've seen others do with similar motor upgrades. Conditions were great and the track was good. On the launch, I feel like I was right on the edge of the car's capabilities; the tires shuffled but didn't break loose and the motor didn't bog. And although I was a tick slow on the 2-3 shift, it felt like a perfect run.

60ft: 2.216
1/8: 9.319 @ 78.42
1/4: 14.163 @ 103.12

Could my Eibach lowering springs possibly be hurting the weight transfer? I thought it could be my 235 stock Pirellis but I've seen others do better times with similar tires. And I had the pressures down to 23 psi. Thanks for any advice.:bigthumbsup

I'm almost there.. besides changing my rear springs this winter for better weight transfer, will start shifting at 6800 rpm still keeping at 7k limiter. Since I have fixed my braking problem forgot to see last time at the track how high I can torque without pushing so I know that will change before then was only leaving at about 2-3k rpm. Anymore ideas??:scratchchin

Do you thing with only 19 runs on the motor that the cap n rotor needs to be changed out for a tuneup?

last race was a 04gt with a few rouch parts on it. we were neck and neck for the whole track then he pulled ahead and got me by 2 feet. all in all it was amazing and i have pics i took and i will put them up asap since i have to download them from my phone.

a bunch of guys from the local forum Pennmustangs.com were heading to Maple Grove for the last t&t day of they year Saturday,so i figured what the hell,i'll take the vert for one last beat down before i put the body out to pasture this winter

a little elevation change goes a long way,and i made 3 of my best passes ever in what was to be my cars final runs down the strip(under my ownership anyway)

not that my 60's are amazing by any means..think thats cuz the car is so heavy

1st pass- 12.738 @105.74 with a 1.771 60ft
2nd pass-12.712 @ 105.93 with a 1.752 60 ft
3rd pass -12.814 @ 104.31 with a 1.724 60ft

i dont know what happened on the 3rd run..best 60ft,yet .1 and 2 mph slower???

the clutch felt a little funky on the ride home..wasnt slipping or anything, just not quite right..i have plans of replacing it anyway during the swap..im surprised it lasted this long..its a stock replacement clutch thats been in the car for over 7 years, and has probably somewhere around 150 or more passes on it!!

Well last night was the final one of the season for the Friday night street races at the Beaver. The weather was looking a bit iffy but I checked the website and it didn't say anything about a cancellation so I loaded all the crap I take to the track in the van, hitched up the trailer and loaded the car.

We have to leave kind of early because I have a 2 hour drive to the track. Right before we left I checked the website again and there it was, a notice that the races were canceled due to wet conditions. So I had to go and unload everything.

What made it worse was that this was the fifth consecutive week the races were rained out! We haven't actually raced since September the 18th. This year was horrible for rain outs with 11 all together I think it was. It seemed to rain every Friday night. I really wanted to get this one in since it'll be five months now before the track opens again.

It was a strange year for me. I started off hot getting to the finals in 4 of the first 7 races, and winning one of them. I was second in the points and feeling good. Little did I know it would be all downhill from there!

The bad streak started when I broke the transmission at a test and tune in early June, and when I missed a race because of it I fell to 4th in points. When I got it fixed, I couldn't get past the second round in the next 3 races, then I blew up my motor on the top end and nearly wrecked the car.

So I missed three more races while I worked to get a junk yard motor in the car to finish the season. When I did get back I just couldn't seem to find that groove I had going earlier. Then the last five races of the year got rained out.

So the final score card for the year would be:

Good - made it to the finals 4 times and also made some great new friends.

Bad - broke motor, broke trans, went out early far too often.

Although I went every night that the car wasn't broken I wound up only running 14 races for the year. That just isn't enough. So I have a rather ambitious plan for next year. I'm going to run both the Friday night street series and the Sunday IHRA races too. That is if I can keep the car together. I'll be building a brand new motor this winter so you can bet I'll be in a hurry for spring to arrive.

Well fellow racers that was my season, how was yours?

so my big debate is do i go with the tubular front end kit this winter? or try to squeeze out some more power an try my old stall. if i do plan on going with the front end i was going to send my converter back an have them tighten it to around a 4000. but then of course comes the money issue. i have plenty of time to think about it. so i decided to see what you guys would think.

2nd run; 13.174 @ 110.41 again bad rt, lost serpenteen belt

After scrambling for a belt I had one of the guys that did the custom tune drive the car and  he did the following run;

12.702 @ 118.7

We had a custom dyno tune done by Performance Race Engineering out of Portland, Oregon using a SCT-X3, AEM Brute Force intake, 39lb injectors and a GT500 MAF resulting in 458rwhp :bigthumbsup and 480torq :gringreen.

Any advice about the tree or any thing else that would help my driving?
