Hey fellas. I am going to install a Infinity Basslink II into my 2010 Musrtang GT. I already purchased it, the wiring kit, and LOCPRO line out converter. I was'nt sure if I should use the line-level inputs on the amp, or use a LOC to hook it to my existing Shaker 500 stereo. Either way I will be tapping into the rear speaker wires for my signal.

I'll document my findings here, but I was wondering if anyone here has had one or has listened to one and how they liked it. I just need a little more bass without waking the neighbors. For the money I payed, it looks like a nice deal.

Hello, I recently purchased a 1992 5.0 coupe. I didn't check the radio before I bought it, and found the speaker connectors, and radio connectors cut (also no speakers). Currently, I'd like to just find some stock speakers and repair the cut sections of the radio harness.
Now for my many questions:

1. Is there a way to tell if the vehicle was equipped with premium sound?

2. Are there any good new/used sources to get connectors/speakers?

3. Does anyone have part numbers for the speakers? I pulled a pair of dash speakers from a mustang in a junk yard, and the part numbers don't match the dash speakers in my 4 cylinder (convertible, also a 1992)

4. Are there any other vehicles that I could pull needed connectors/speakers off of? (junk yards near me have few mustangs, and the ones there are usually very picked over)

Any answers/advice would be much appreciated.

okay, basically- as most of you may already know- the mach 460 system for a 1998 mustang coupe consists of 3 amps: one in the front that powers high and mid ranged sounds for the front and rear speakers, and two amps in the back (one on either side of the car) that power the front and rear low ranged sounds. I do have and aftermarket amp hooked up in the loop of wires that connect the system, but i don't think that should be the problem because when i first bought the car it was already all hooked up and working fine.

fairly recently, i was driving around with the radio playing pretty low and pretty much all my speakers stopped working except for the front two tweeters/ mid speakers and the back mid speakers (the bass on the rear mach speakers were not working)

because it was a fairly old car and the cd player had already stopped working, i figured that the deck was the problem. So a friend and i replaced the deck and it still was giving the same problem.

at this point, i'm thinking that one of the mach 460 amps that are in the loop of wires has stopped working and is no longer passing a signal along to the others.

what i'm not sure about is how to make sure this is the problem without cutting all kinds of wires and trying to bypass all the amps until i find the one thats not working or to find out that that wasn't the problem in the first place.

ANY suggestions on fixing this problem would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance for your help

At best buy and a few other alarm shops they refused to install the remote start due to liability with leaving car in gear. My problem is the viper 5901 states it can be used on a manual trans car as long as you follow the procedure. If you dont follow the procedure like for example you leave it in gear the alarm will disable the remote start feature. So why cant I get this installed and working on my stang :-/ They also mention the mustang not having something called a bypass but isnt that something that can be installed ? Any help will be greatly appreciated. This is the exact excerpt from the manual that came with the alarm.

Just finished installing my new kenwood excelon dnx9140 with the PAC harness from crutchfield. I figured id start with my deck and go from here with changing out everything else. Im having a problem though, whenever i go above 25 on volume with a cd or ipod playing the deck reboots itself almost like a failsafe mode idk. Ive been trying to tune it out just right and noticed this yesterday. I dont know the factory freq response on the speakers and subs to adjust my LPF and HPF. Called kenwood about this and they suggested i have a short somewhere..does this sound the most viable cause? or is it a setting issue?

all i have is a shaker 500 system with the kenwood deck. I like loud music but its always rebooting after i go above 25 on the volume, i have sound coming out of all the speakers and subs..

I dont really want to bring it somewhere and pay 50 bucks an hour to troubleshoot this lol..

thanks for any tips.
