hey everybody,

I thought I would freshen this place up with an interesting idea that I haven't seen on here yet.

Is liquid or gaseous propane injection feasable on a fuel injected 2.3?

I have been thinking about it for my 2.3 turbo build and it is a very interesting concept because it is cleaner, more efficient and offers the same power. What kinds of problems would we run into?

What kind of parts would we need? Fuel tank, new injectors, fuel lines etc... What else?

Also, if you were to go with the liquid injectionm you would need to use the injector ports in the regular places, but if you wanted to do a gaseous setup then you could inject the propane into the intake.

Give me your thoughts and feedback. It's a cool idea because if you can get a kit and get it installed or install it yourself, then you will be able to make up for your expenses in a very short amount of time as long as you drive the car regularly.

I have asked this question a couple of hundred times and get blasted for it regularly. I was getting gas tonight before comming home at my favorate fill me up joint. I always leave the car running during fill up. Well someone informed me that i am to shut off the engine when fueling. I know there is a big sign that tells me to do that. But is this mean to the pump?? Here is my theory when the fuel gets low the pump is not surroundrd with fuel. The fuel keeps the pump cool. So my theory is that if the car is running the KAZOO is cooling the pump?? Some guys ate me alive for this statement. I know there is a danger aspect. But does letting cold fuel hit a hot pump cause damage. Maybe so in tech school we discussed this issue and all of us agreed that most pumps fail With a full tank. I know this is a stretch. But is IT. The GM tech engineer seems to agree with my theory. Reasoning being he has had the same experiance. Also my brand new SATURN( JENS CAR) Spicifically stated dont let fuel level drop below 1/4. Now it may be for another reason . But i cant think WHY. Imput gentelman i would like to here your opinion Thanks and peace TOM .
It looks like a lot but it funnels down to 1 wire to battery at starter solinois and one small green with stripe. Install new wire harness big to solinoid and the green with stripe to green with stripe. Now lights don't dim when ac is on and turn fan on high. Will have to upload some pictures. Maurice

Well, it finally happened.

Problem developed on the *new* old car.

Noticed that the cooling fan is not coming on.
I was going through the manual and starting the test (check motor by directly connecting to battery - yes, it works..)

That is when I noticed that the manuals I have (from the factory) don't really give a good electrical schematic. They tell me to check Circuit 45. But they don't say where it is at. If it said Pin 45 on EEC I could find that but Circuit is a bit ambiguous to me.

I have both B manuals, the D and the Electrical & Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual (along with the do it yourself book.) I saw a picture online of the EEC schematic that isn't listed in my book.

So, I was wondering if there is another manual AND if it is online to help me figure out my problem.

Thanks for any help.

What is a typical mod list for these cars which can be done safely to the engine?

I know the SVO changed to dual exhuast in 85.5 and the turbos went water cooled and with a better A/R ratio.

What "Bolt ons" can be done to his car to greatly improve the performance to 85.5 to 86 model year specs and beyond.

I will see the car in an hour, but suspect it is bone stock.

Thanks in advance for the help. :wavey

Lincoln Mark VII: BRAKE SWAP

Hi Everybody,

Hi Everybody,

I have found an interesting Lincoln Mark VII that a guy is completely parting out and I want to switch to a 5-lug set-up and get better braking with bigger rotors and rear disc brakes. Switching to 5-Lug will also help by giving me a better selection of wheels to choose from.

The only problem that I can see occuring is the fact that the brakes are setup with an ABS system. How could I go about changing it to a non-ABS system? Or would it be really hard to incorporate the existing ABS system into the Mustang?

Parts that I am going to need for the swap:

-front rotors (5-Lug!)
-steering knuckles (will these knuckles fit on my balljoints?)
-brake calipers
-rear rotors
-emergency brake lines
-rear calipers
-rear caliper mounting bracket (probably have to weld onto axle housing?)
-rear axle-shafts (5-Lug!) [note: I already have the 8.8" axle housing]

Am I missing anything from the parts list?

Anybody feel free to chime in and give me your thoughts and suggestions on the brake conversion even if you have not had experience with it before (your thoughts are always valued in this thread!).

Thanks, Steve:bigthumbsup:bigthumbsup:bigthumbsup

I know the obvious things like transmission, pedals, clutch cable, clutch, bell housing, etc. Do I have to change any brackets under the dash where the pedals mount?
