after taking my car to a few mechanics they seem to come to the conclusion that the ticking im hearing if in the head(drivers side) and not an exhaust leak. had the car on a lift and the mechanic use a stethescope to listen and he said its in the head........so my question is what are my options. my car was bought through carmax and i purchased the 6year/75,000 warranty. does a warranty fix head tick problem? other concern is ive installed a larger intercooler, larger intercooler reservior, larger radiator reservior, and an x-pipe with high flow cats. do you think they would void my warranty for those things? noticed a slight tick from day one, but has seemed to have gotten louder. still sounds like an exhaust leak to me though. its a rythmic tick the increases with rpm's, mostly hear it at low rpms after shifting from 1st to 2nd. thanks for any advice.

I am a basically stock 95 cobra convertible with the usuall exhaust work, flowmasters and a cross-over H-pipe, cold air intake, small chip and tune, and steeda lowering kit. A good friend of mine has a new in box Hybrid T/3 T/4 twin turbocharger kit still wrapped up. He needs money bad and will sell it cheap. It's originally bought for his fox body but he needs money and has to sell it. I know it will need some mods to fit my 95' however I've never heard anything about it and would like some suggestions on it. Is a good idea, or would I be just waisting my time and money? Is there any other mods I will have to do. Like everybody else I am on a low budget and can get this cheap, but I don't want to just throw money away. I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

What is the best blower and crank pully combination to run for more boost...??? and make it efficiant.......Also how difficult is it for the change over and what is requiered for parts and belt sizes. I am running a boost a pump with 60lb injectors and a 150 shot of juice with alot of other mods. My last tune registerd only 408RWHP on a mustang dyno without the 150 shot, I am thinking my numbers should be a little higher.............any good advise...
No added noise, but I'm already using Magnaflow from the cats back so can't really tell.
They look nice under the car, and seat of the pants feel is, very good, added allot more kick then I expected. One of two things either the old one's were really plugged up or I'm full of crap don't have any real numbers for comparison.:gringreen
Only down side I see is they seem to stick down a little further than the old ones, I'll have to watch for bottoming-out and scraping them.

would i still be able to make future mods such as new headers and a new hi flowing h-pipe? Also, what is the difference between stainless steel tips and aluminumized tips? About how much of a power increase would I see? Or should i just stick with my stock exhaust setup and just install some super 44 mufflers? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. :wavey

During gear change or depressing the clutch the engine revs remain up at 2500 to 3000 RPM. In some circumstances the revs will rise and fall between 750 & 2000 RPM while sitting at the lights.

The car is fitted with BBK 65mm throttle body and BBK Cold air intake and has run well for the past 2 years. I have cleaned the the throttle body to make sure there is no carbon build up and cleaned the Throttle Positioning Sensor but still the same problem.

Has any one come up against the same problem and what was the solution?

The plug wires recently went bad on my 98 cobra and i was short on cash and had to use the cheap 40 dollar wires from autozone. Should i replace these with better quality wires? is there a big difference between theese cheap ones and a good set? thanks

There comes a time in every Cobra owners life when they get the urge to get some new shoes. Hopefully the second time around will keep me satisfied for the next few years. I was thinking of putting on a set of Ford GT Supercar wheels.(Yes im fully aware of the cost.. Ouch!) The front set i'm not too concerned about. The rear set however, is 19x11.5 and i wanted to put the new nitto NT05 335/30/19 back there. I have the MMS IRS flush bolts installed. Currently i have no clearance issues with my 315/35/17's on 17x10.5 wheels, even with the Eibach lowered stance. Sooo would those fatboys fit on my 04 Cobra? Comments? Suggestions? Thanks in advance guys...

Howdy! Here is what I've got. 2 complete long blocks. 1 block has a spun crank bearing so the bottom end is no bueno. The other block had the timing chain break and a bearing or two in the heads are fused. So I have 1 good bottom end and one good top end.

2 questions:

1: If time isn't an issue to complete will pulling it out through the topside be an simpler ordeal?
2: I'm the one with the funds and my friend is the tech.. he's currently indisposed, one reason or another, and I want to know which sets of gaskets i'm going to need when we get our rebuild on.
Timing Cover
Head Gaskets
Intake Gasket
Intake to cylinder
Oil Pan

that it? Like i said, I'm pulling one block, swapping the heads onto another and putting it back in. Simple enough right? :D

After this is done i'll also be looking to get rid of the damaged goods if there are any takers.
