Default What is up with the little pop-up ads?

I have noticed that these little ads pop-up randomly as I am surfing the forum. Usually they are little more than annoying, but lately they have been popping up under my cursor right when I am trying to click on a link, taking me to a website I don't want to go to.
At first I thought the links were hacked or something, but then I noticed one of the ads popping up right when I clicked.

Is there any way to turn those off, or are we stuck with them?

The pop-up blocker I have is working fine.
These little ads are different that normal pop-ups. They aren't a new window, they are more like an ad that shows up on the page whan you mouse over certain words...

Those are part of the system. Odd thing is, if someone clicks on one of those ads, it generates revenue for the website by that advertiser.

They do get annoying... right when you want to click something else, you happen to go over one and it pops up.

Huh... I never noticed those ads at all... I use Mozilla Firefox with the "AdBlock Plus" add-on... and it filters those blue words right out. (I turned it off, reloaded a page, and sure-enough, there they were!)

If you want to not see them, you might try getting Firefox (Firefox web browser | Faster, more secure, & customizable) and the AdBlock Plus add-on (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865).

It isn't the ads themselves, it's the little blue highlighted words with two lines under them, they're links and when your mouse goes over them an ad will come up, vying for your attention.

Right... but AdBlock Plus still removes them.
