Huckabee, plain and simple, he's the 2nd best choice among Repubs. and the only one with a decent shot.

Obama's middle name is Hussein. I think he would be less-liberal than the Hilda-beast, but regardless, This country is in for a shock one way or the other. I'm for the Fair Tax, but I doubt Huckabee could win against either.

Huckabee,....been a Huck supporter from the beginning. Huckabee is the only one left, by the way, that CAN beat the Dems. Much of McCain's support comes from liberal leaning Northern states that usually end up going to the Dems. Outside of Florida (which really isn't the South) McCain has not won in a Southern state or even proven he can run strong down here with any consistency and without the South NO Republican can win a general election...period. Huckabee is the only one who has shown even a glimmer of hope in holding off Obama from swipping a few Southern states...which is all it would take to ensure Democrates winning in November. I really hope that Mitt stops pouting and throws his support (and delagates) behind Huck making this a race...McCain can't win in November, and an Obama presidency will make Jimmy Carter look like a success...not a good prospect for America.

Florida isn't the south?? It is probably more southern and conservitive than a lot other southern states, Virginia comes to mind. Most people ( mostly the media) think of Florida as Miami and that dump called Orlando(I was born there) Those places are a small segment of the state If you draw a line from around Ocala and go north, Florida is VERY southern, the only place in the country where you can get good sweet tea and real cheese grits!lol And down in what we call cow country ie. around lake Ockechobee. Which by the way Florida is one of the top three cattle producing states. Florida was the second state to suceede from the Union and the last to be reamitied back to the Union.
As far as McCain goes, as I told TRIP, I will hold my nose and vote for him over the two socilaist and probably get drunk afterwards!
The Huck I dont think stands a chance of catching McCain in the delagate race.

Outside of the Panhandle and some other rural areas, Florida is more like a Northern retirement community , A while back I had a chance to go down to Miami Beach in the off season, Cubans and old New Yorkers waiting to die (trying not to be mean here) were all you could see. Got a lot of friends from Florida and some guys I work with that work here in SE Alabama but still live in Fla. and the'll say the same thing...in many ways Florida is almost three different states...yes part of it is Southern but a lot of it isn't, but my point was more to it's voting habits more than anything else and in that regard Florida doesn't vote like much of the rest of the South...for goodness sakes! Y'all almost put Al Gore in the White House

I have never figured out why there is so much pandering to the Cubans in Dade county, yes they make up a large percentage of the voters in Dade county, but there are 66 other counties in Florida. And the majority of the Latino voters are conservitive and Catholic.
Another fact that the media sweeps under the rug is the fact that many of the Norterners(Yankees) cast ballots both here in Florida AND their home states which is against federal law! November is the time when the majority of the snowbirds are here. And these were the ones who almost put the Goreacle in the white house.

It's a Northern tradition.... Vote early and often! Heck back home in the Chicago area you would be amazed at how many elections are decided by dead people! For some candidates the "graveyard vote" is what's keeping them in power (Not exagerating much)

Bill Clinton is right in stating Obama's Iran policy is dreaming.

We are in Iran for DECADES and Obama nor Hillary will get us out anytime soon.

Huckabee scared me when I heard him say that God says we should give to the poor or provide 'free' health care. I forget his exact words, and was a little stunned as his beliefs as far as religion go are very close to my own.

I cannot STAND McCain as a politician though I will be FORCED to vote for him.

There is not a spit of difference between Hillary and Obama. No matter what Obama says he WILL BE CONTROLLED by the Democrat Party and their current stable of loons.

Over heard on local radio, "No white man with ANY balls will EVER vote for Hillary Clinton or a man named Barrack Hussein Obama!"

If Obama gets elected it will PROVE that stupid people shouldn't be allowed to vote!

There is a reason only two Senators have ever been elected to the Whitehouse.
We are fixing to find out why.
Pay off those credit cards and your other debt and get ready to face some lean economic times.

That is for sure, if Hillary or Obama wins, with the Democrats in control of the senate and house, Socialism will be the rule in the U.S. These are some freaky scary times.

Hello. Do that^ anyway. The dollar is rapidly approaching worthless, unemployment is continuing to rise, the federal budget deficit is at record levels, the housing market is in a very sorry state, etc... The thing that guarantees defeat for McCain, Huckabee, or any other male caucasian will be the fact that there is absolutely nothing that the federal government has had anything to do with for the last 15 years that people can look at and feel good about it. If there was a way to get a purple guy from the planet Zoltar on the ticket, he would win. Anything other than what we've been getting is what will what the election. Woman, black man, alien, anything would just about have to an improvement. It could not possibly be any worse. The 'lean economic times' are here and they are going to get even leaner. It would impress me to no end if General Motors does not crumble entirely into bankruptcy by 2010, with Ford right behind them. All of these unsecured, or 'sub-prime' loans that our banking institutions made that are in default are going to be causing big problems for some time to come. They have very little capitol to work with. Instead, they have an abundance of property that they've foreclosed on, and you can't loan out a bunch of houses. So, yes, everyone definitely needs to get out of debt and try to put together significant savings, because the economy is not going to be very user friendly for a pretty good while.

Republicans say....no matter what happens, in America things always get better!

Democrats say....America IS the problem and only their ideas will solve everyone of your problems.

Everything you've listed as a negative has happened before! Not once but many times!

An unemployment rate of 5% was considered FULL employment just a decade ago.

The dollar ALWAYS goes up and down....and in many ways a down dollar HELPS the average family.

NOW is the PERFECT time to buy a house! Literally NEVER have prices and interest rates been better!

NOW is the time to dump every dollar you can lay your hands on into the stock market! In 5 years you'll thank me!

If the US car makers fold they have but themselves and the UAW to blame.

In the last eight years the US economy broke nearly every record ever set in regards to GNP, unemployment, household income AND minoritys did better than us Caucasians!

The REAL difference between Democrats and Republicans? Attitude!

Hi again. First, I am not a democrat. I have never been a democrat. Attitude does not affect the objective reality of a situation. It is a very simple thing to tell people that now is the time to invest in real estate. However, it is very difficult to come up with investment capitol for a second house when you just got evicted from the house that you were living in. Same thing with the stock market. The stock market is a big part of what my husband does for a living and he is very good at what he does. Right now, as we speak, the market is on the back-side of a peak. This is a horrible time for someone that actually has a couple of bucks to jump in, especially if they are not very good at analyzing investments. If someone that lacks the know-how to accurately interpret spread sheets and earnings statements would like to get a quick overview of what's really happening, just go look at mutual fund share values right now compared with the value of that share at the end of '06. Look for it on your monthly statement as Q406. Compare several different ones just to make sure that it's not just that your guys are idiots. The straight line from then to now will be dead flat. Yes, we have had all of these things happen before, but as soon as the inevitable inflation really kicks in, the last time all of these factors were in force at the same time was the great depression. True, that was a great time to invest. The only problem was that nobody had anything to eat, let alone invest. And the inflation must come. As the dollar continues to tank against foreign currencies, and we continue to use more and more foreign built items, it will take more dollars to buy them. The fed can not keep holding the interest rates down artificially like they've been doing. The 'housing bubble' exploding means that there is less investment capitol available from lending institutions.Less investment capitol available to loan means it costs more to borrow. The government has been helping the fed out by just printing more and more worthless money. That's why the dollar is tanking and that's why interest rates and inflation must go up in the very near future. This is not a question of attitude, it's a question of information processing. A whole lot of people haven't really had the knowledge or the need to process that already know on an intuitive level that things are rough and are going to get rougher, and that's why they are going to either not show up at the polls or vote for the candidate that is the most different from they've been getting. That's what is happening in the democratic primaries. People are trying to figure out what's more different, a black man or a white woman.
