Actually Shriver was quoting him, (but he was actually quoting a noted author, not Shriver) and if you care to look it up, you will see Geroge F. Will criticizing his use of the phrase before the California elections.

But this is just trolling, now, from what I understand .. .

Out of all the examples in the clip you challenge only ONE example and then you call it trolling.

Frank Rich uses hoodwink all the time - It's an old Saxon word, Bamboozle if I recall is Latin/French - used for longer than Spike Lee ever out it in a movie.

That's as far as I got, then decided it was meaningless.

I'm not calling it trolling -Shartley is I think.

Your post remains -mine is removed.

I'm still trying to figure it out . ..

Regardless -Given your penchant for quoting Eastwood characters . ..

I'm not sure if you are refering to the doctored quotes from My Cousin Vinny that I made in an attempt to lend credibility to your automotive knowledge that was questioned by someone else, or the out-takes from Obama that I posted. In either case I'm not following the link to that and you post that was pulled???

In the later case of the Obama clips, there is clearly a penchant by him to quote others. Obama is a orator . . . likes to hear himself talk . . . but talk is cheap and the sheer number of quotes he injects in his pulpit like campaign speeches is not swaying me to his side, nor many others based on the comments on this thread.

Obama's over-use of quotes reminds me of the time Dan Quayle, quoted JFK, and Bentson dressing him down for it. Obama is fair game.

In the name of getting this post back on track, Springsteen's endorsment of Obama does not hurt unless he goes nuts like Mykill Moore and Howard Dean. Maybe I'm missing something. . . but what contribution does Springsteen's endrosement have for Obama?

Talk Is Cheap - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Are you quoting Keith Richards?

Clinton stole "Fired Up and Ready to Go" from him, and Yes We Will is an obvious copy of "Yes We Can!"

"Win one for the Gipper" was from an old movie that Reagan starred in - The screenplay writer never got credit for that one.

DQ was comparing himself to Kennedy (for the WHOLE CAMPAIGN), when he was dressed down by Lloyd Bentsen - perhaps you were too young to remember .. .

Im not quoting Keith Richards as far as I know.

DQ got what was coming and so does Obama,. I dont think the WHOLE CAMPAIGN excuse is well . . . the criteria to be used nailing or not nailing someone who likes to quote every catch phrase they can get their hands on like Obama.

I'm quite your senior so I take your comment positiviely. You made me feel young. THanks!

It's easy to make an old coot feel young!

Anyway, the who Keith Richards argument is a wash, when his policies are available, and he has spoken about them ad nauseum. Clinton would force everyone to get health care, he wouldn't, Clinton wouldn't talk to people she doesn't like (that's a REAL stretch for her) Obama would, blah, blah blah.

Talk is cheap is just another cheap talking point, and when you consider the policy differences, it's cheapness is less than something you might find in East Hollywood . .

THis is true, however, it would be very easy to go out onto the impound lot where their particular car was and verify if said modifications had been performed thus rendering their vehicle capable of said skid mark...

I assume that the mod had not been made, and would hope that anyone worth their salt would have walked out the few hundred steps to the small town impound lot to verify if it had said equipment added...

Hi Nyt_Muvs. How have you been? This is Hollywood. They didn't mention checking the kid's car to make sure that it didn't have independent rear suspension, nor did they mention checking the guy's car that ended up taking the hit for the murder to make sure that it still had it. In the real world, obviously, someone would have done that. They don't release accused murderers just because some girl says that his car doesn't have a certain option. Here in Houston, they wouldn't have released the kids even after discovering the car didn't have independent rear suspension.
