I'm sure many of you have already seen this given the anti-french sentiment that seems to be growing. I have not tested any of the information, so do your own research to confirm or disprove the validity of the data.
March 2003 French Products and Companies to Boycott Dozens of readers have written in asking for a list of French companies products to boycott. After all, some are well known, but many are not. Here goes. The gang at FrogWeenies (www.metrospy.com) notes: "France's behavior in front of the UN has been disgraceful. Their attempts to block, veto and prevent the US lead military action in Iraq does not promote peace, it simply reinforces the will of tyrants and terrorists." It lists French products to boycott. You will probably be surprised to learn the French own everything from Wild Turkey to Car & Driver to Motel 6 to cheesy Spencer Gifts to disgusting Democrat schlock-show host Jerry Springer. well, I was not trying to start a debate, I just wanted to make a point that if you do boycott a contry for a decision not to support a war that they do not believe in, why would we try to force them into it? I feel forcing to make anyone do what they do not beieve in is wrong, like making a Mormon drink. and that is my last post in this thread

An improvement . ..
Regardless, if it weren't for the French Resistance fighters in WWII we might be speaking German or Japanese.
But wait! the Germans and the Russians, and the Turks, and the Chinese, and the Mexicans, and the Irish, and the Swedes, and the Swiss, and the Norwegians, and the Dutch, and the list goes on -are all against the war . . .
Let's boycott the world, c'est la vie - c'est la guerre!!

Actually I think a re-evaluation of the word "Ally" is in order. Also, I think a reverence for the 50k+ dead American soldiers that are buried in France is in order.
Ally - to unite or form a connestion between. (Websters)
France has broken this relationship by their actions in the UN.
I think that an even better idea is to place a very large plack at the Statue of Liberty explaining that it stands for the ideals that France use to embrace. I think it sends a much better message to France. Something similar could be done on the part of Germany too. I understand Russia and North Korea making a stink, but at least they are consistent in their nonsupportive posture for liberty and freedom.
The thread I originally started could have been kept just sensored. This is a hot topic.

It was asked that this not turn into a debate (or move the debate to a new thread) but you are so narrow minded you cant put anything down, you are a S!$# stirrer, and everything you touch smells like it. You called Twister out for posting something you thought was political then you called him a hypocrite, well you try to add anything political to your post and push things to the limit…you are the hypocrite.

How can I be called a hypocrite when I never called for censorship?!
If you're going to censor political commentary, supporting a boycott against the French qualifies.

We can keep this thread going forever, lets just stay away from 1 to 1 wrestling ok?
Now my 2 "extra" cents:
It is ok for any of you to support your troops, nothing wrong wanting the best for them now that War has started.
So far there's nothing "we" pacifists can do now, but wait and x our fingers that there are as few civilian casualties as possible.
I only hope those sattelite guided missiles hit the right targets.
My biggest hope is that this war doesnt extend itself into other countries, US hatred is "well and alive" and many will try to pick that as their flag.
Getting Saddam out of the picture is not gonna end terrorism, just think about it, terrorism has no territory, no country, no home, it is everywhere theres a mad man with a gun or bomb, with nothing to fear and nothing to loose.
Guys here is a quote from my message on the political topic discussions.
"Since religion and politics do stir up some strong emotions and more often than not turn into heated debates I suggest you refrain from getting into those type of discussions. I don't do it at work or anywhere else that I don't want the possibility of making someone angry. I would recommend you take those discussions to a politicial or religious site that caters to those type of debates. WE debate Mustangs here or racing not religion and politics. I'm not telling you cannot discuss them but I would strongly recommend you avoid it, as when they do turn ugly, a moderator or staff member will remove them."
Notice I said I would recommend you not doing it As long as it stays clean and doesn't get into a bashing contest then I have no problem but when it does we will clean it up or remove it.
If anyone wants to send me money, I have a pay pal account!!
I may use it for a few choice upgrades . . .
;-)
