I'm weary of negative ads - even the ones based upon the opposition's own words.
Sure, I know they work with some people, but they just roll off my back.
FAR better to spend the money presenting a positive message about your own policies, plans and issues.
We'll see how low this mud rassle goes...
I predict it gets really nasty and stays there all through the campaign. On both sides.
The unification programs are in full swing behind the scenes, aligning the public message of the candidates with their key backers in their respective parties. This effort will continue far past the conventions, when it is usually abandoned while the campaigns focus on each other, because both sides have fractured bases and real problems within their own parties. This will keep the negative stuff boiling even more than is usual, since this sort of ad is helpful in uniting the troops in a common cause.
The strategy is apparent, and would appear to be set in stone.
This will be one of the most negative races in history - that's my prediction. There is actual hatred on BOTH sides.

Dick Morris, Billary tactician and attack dog from bygone years, is urging McCain to go negative in August. Foregone conclusion, from what I can see.
