I actually disagree and wish that both McCain and Obama would continue on with the debate.
Right now, I want answers and a debate will give us some of those answers. Being led around like puppets shows me that both of them are yes sir men.

+1 rj8806. theres alot of answers i want to know and even more so with the 700 billion dollars to "fix" the stock market. im trying my best to understand whats going on around me since this is the 1st election that i can vote. as far as McCain not wanting to put off the debate. im thinking it a vital blow to this campain..... i wonder what else congress will spill their guts on now.

Actually McCain DOES want to put off the debate so he can go back to Washington to "figure out" this buy off. That is not a good thing in my book. Right now, I am torn between McCain and the Libertarian party. Obama is not an option for me.

Unless McCain proves he is the Maverick he says he is and comes out with an alternate to the 700 billion no questions asked we gotta pay and you don't need to know anything else plan, then he is not getting my vote either.

Having all of them up in Washington, behind closed doors, debating on how to get this $700B is not sitting well with me at all.

On the radio this morning, Mancow had a great idea that I wish everyone who voted would do. He said that the voters need to vote out EVERYONE in Washington and bring in fresh new faces. As soon as they "figure out" how the system works, vote them out and bring in new faces again. I am actually going to vote that way from now on. Any incumbent is not getting my vote. I don't care if you or anyone says "but they are good...." I am not voting for any incumbent. I doubt my strategy will have any effect on things but if everyone followed it, then maybe we would see some real change in Washington.

Answers would be nice, credible or honest answers would be better though I have little hope to hear any of those.
Dare to dream .......

That's the way I typically vote on the state and local level. On the national level it's been the lesser of two evils for me.

The lesser of 2 evils for me as well up 'till now. I am going to start voting that way all the time and who knows, if enough of us try it, we just might see the change that all the candidates promise but never follow thru with.

Well its official, they both showed up for the 700B bailout thing.

So, does this mean the debate is off for sure? Or will they hop on they're private jets and go debating tomorrow?

I'm not voting for McCain, I'm voting for Palin!
As far as McCain suspending his campain he tripped up Obama and now Obama is playing catchup! And Obama has the gall to say "they will call me if they need me" LOL! Someone needs to remind the Dalibama that he is a US Senator who represents the state of Illinoise and the last time I checked they were part of the USA.
By the way it looks like the house Republicans are going to kill this bail out bill, thank God they have some spine to stop this Socialism.

Maybe that's their ultimate plan since Hillary didn't make it?

If there is an electorial vote tie, Dick Cheney could pick McCain to be Pres.
