Come on what do you think? The topic is foreign policy. Do you think someone that has experience as a community organizer knows anything? Don't let Obama brain wash you guys and gals.
My money is on McCain!!

There may be no debate, McCain will speak at a meeting on Thursday and than has to hurry back to Washington to give his input into the financial "bailout" crisis. I guess he could not do that before Friday. He wants Obama to do the same.
I think the debate should continue, we need to continue on with as much of a regular scheduled life as possible.
Well, I for one would rather hear those two talk about the economic situation rather than try and do something about it. That way there's two less to further screw things up!
Let the debates begin!!

I am sure Obama's team is schooling him almost constantly so he doesn't flub up. I have heard they have agreed on a slightly different agenda rather than the stale question and answer. I heard they will have a chance to argue with each other this time.

Yes McCain better not back out it will make him look afraid. Sure they should take care of the problem in Washington but of course Obama want to have the debate, he would have just voted present had he been in Washington.

"CountyMounty" you do realize voting "Present" is not a Washington vote.
It is however a vote technique in the Illinois Legislature. It says, I am here, I will not vote on the question as stated, but with revisions, I will.
It is a parliamentary move to move the question to further change and possible debate.

Reason: Edit
it was just a digg....if he did vote that would be taking a stand and then someone could question him on it!

I hope his "handlers" change his mind. I can see suspending his campaign but he should stick with the debate. I think it would be a huge mistake if he backed out of it.

It’s a stunt. If Obama goes with him he is following McCain’s lead, if McCain goes alone the Democrats will never agree to anything, making them look exactly as they are…..but it could backfire if he suspends his campaign for any length of time.

In my opinion McCain is going to pick up points if this deal goes through. It looked like Obama was more interested in politics than fulfilling his responsibility as a congressman. Yes they are both running for president but they are both saying the people and the country come first. For McCain to suspend his campaign and turn to working on this economic mess it looks like just what he said that he would rather lose an election than not do what;s best for country.
The democrats can say its a stunt or whatever but when Bush asked Obama to join him and McCain in DC tomorrow he went. Why didn't he go before hand on his own initiative? To me its another example of what we can expect from this guy who is only concerned about his image not what needs to be done. And I am anxious to see what the real story is about todays chain of events. Obama is claiming he initiated it and McCain says he did.
